Cyril Fagan concluded that that the zodiac really began with Taurus, so he calculated the 'navamsa' from Taurus. He called this the 'novien.' Thus, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn began with the novien of Taurus. Gemini, Libra and Aquarius began with Aquarius, etc. Fagan used the novien to zero in on sexuality, and used the Moon as the 'ascendant.' The main reference for this is ASTROLOGICAL ORIGINS. (I haven't read this book in ahwile, and there is no doubt material in the Novien chapter that I don't remember.) There was some early work with the dwads among siderealists, but I'm not sure if Fagan ever considered the dwad. Steve may have more information on this. I don't believe that siderealists ever looked at the other vargas. Therese
