Guest guest
Is there someone on this mail-list who can point me to a Solar System Simulator program? Years ago I had such a software and found it to be a useful companion to understand history of centuries. Is there someone on this mail-list who has studied how Pluto affects the Planetary ethers when square to Sun, rising in Sign at full Moon? - Sven " It is a mistake to think that the past is dead. Do you mean a diagram where the planets are animated in their path around the Sun? (Starry Night does this.) Or a program where you can set the time increment and navigate back throught the centuries as the sky changes? (SkyMap Lite/Pro and Starry Night) There are also some very nice Planispheres available that show the Precession of the Equinoxes for either the northern or southern hemisphere. Guest guest
Therese - A Solar System Simulator program shows the planets in their orbits around the Sun. One must be able to navigate back through the centuries. I had a program of this kind about 25 years ago. I had in mind the Global influence of this aspect of Pluto. This is perhaps the most powerful aspect that I have observed. - Sven ----------Your letter: Sven, Can you explain what you mean by a Solar System Simulator program? The program can be set for any time period and any time increment. The animations are divided into two screens: inner planets and outer planets. You can see the tiny inner planets rotating on the outer planet screen, but they go very fast of course. On the inner planet screen only part of the outer planet orbits come into view. I bought this program some years ago. It was very inexpensive. Starry Night now has versions for several levels from amateur to pro. You'd have to check the web site to see what's available now on each program. The Solar System Simulator in my program has the real sky as the background. The dates are from 4713 BC to 10,000 AD. Your comments are welcome on how you perceive the present global influence of Pluto. 25 years ago? The Commodore 64? An IBM partial clone?
