Guest guest
Therese, my son Jeff was born Oct. 26, 1970 In La Crosse Wisconsin at 4:22 pm cst. His moon is in tropical virgo but sidereal Leo by De Luce. What I meant by holding court was that Jeff was either loved and admired or hated and seen as having a large ego, meaning they felt that he cared more about himself. While working in securities and handling peoples money he poured a lot of his financial backers money into his 3 homes, 5 cars ( including a corvette and a jaguar for his wife ), trips to Europe with his 8 and 12 year old children, had lavish parties for his salesmen and took them on all expense paid trips, and on and on. He loved not only spending money on himself but also others and enjoyed playing Santa Claus to them all. As his mother I felt it was because he needed their admiration what he never received from his abusive childhood. Hence, I said " holding court " . Since getting out of his business a couple years ago he wrote e-books that were motivational and was trying to start a speaking career as he used to speak at company conventions and recieved standing ovations. Since then he lost everything due to 28 counts against him and pleaded guilty by his lawyers advice to fraud and faces sentencing nov 9th in federal court in madison wisconsin. He could get up to 20 years in prison, but pleaded guilty in hopes of a reduced sentence. Until then he is doing cold calling sales to farmers with airial photography, My heart goes out to my son because he is the most positive and loving person that I know dispite what everyong thinks about him. As for myself, tropically I have the sun in pisces and am very much sensitive to my environment, escapist at times, an artist like my son above, and get lost in daydreams and can't seem to make up my mind about anything. People say that I have a calm manner and enjoy being around me. So, I said I lost my pisces by being a sidereal aquarius then I realized that with De Luces formula that my venus would go from aries to pisces so I could still have my pisces. That was before I read your website on how the tropical sign of pisces actually describes aquarius............so I guess that means I don't need to try for that venus in pisces after all..................now I am really getting confused. So, getting back to my son, by the formula you use his moon would still be in virgo. He just seemed so Leo-like to me. Mail - Find what you need with new enhanced search. Learn more. Guest guest
Hi Kat, I'll be responding to your post soon. In the meantime, yes, you've answered your own question about your 'Pisces' influence, which is really sidereal Aquarius. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You wrote: " Tropically I have the sun in pisces and am very much sensitive to my environment, escapist at times, an artist like my son above, and get lost in daydreams and can't seem to make up my mind about anything...That was before I read your website on how the tropical sign of pisces actually describes aquarius....so I guess that means I don't need to try for that venus in pisces after all " ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Consider that before the discovery of Neptune, Pisces was ruled by Jupiter. Now Jupiter is anything but 'sensitive, a daydreamer, undecided.' Simply because Neptune was recently discovered doesn't change the nature of Pisces. Jupiter is right 'out there,' soliciting attention and dealing with groups of people. At the very least Jupiter is gregarious, friendly and cheerful. Bottom line is the so-called tropical 'Pisces' was never ruled by Jupiter because in that sign we're seeing the underlying influence of sidereal Aquarius. (Some sidereal astrologers believe that the tropical zodiac is simply a myth, and all we're seeing is the sidereal signs.) The old ruler of Aquarius is Saturn. In the old textbooks we find that Saturn was linked to the occult. Sidereal Aquarius has always been sensitive in a psychic way, just like the other sidereal signs of its triplicity--Gemini and Libra. The fact that Uranus has been given to this triplicity via Aquarius does a lot to explain the sensitivity of these signs since Uranus is a planet that taps into invisible 'vibes' as they are called today. A Uranian person senses the underlying currents rather than paying attention only to visible mannerisms and spoken words. Uranus is also changeable since mood switches happen often and without warning. If you had your Venus in Pisces, this should have been very good for marriage and relationships. But since you mentioned that your son had an abusive childhood, I assume that this was not the way your life went. Venus in a sign ruled by Saturn would better describe problem relationships. More on your son's horoscope a little later. Blessings, Therese

What I meant by holding court was that Jeff was either loved and admired or hated and seen as having a large ego...He was like the King who held court. He surrounded himself with luxury and people who paid homage to him... Hi Kat, You don't need the Moon in Leo to describe your son. Look at this partial description of your son's lunar mansion from DeFouw and Svoboda's LIGHT ON LIFE: Mansion #11 (26Leo40 to Virgo 10) " ...[this] Moon makes natives earn money by their learning, be generally liked by all, and live a life in comfort and luxury...[this mansion connotes] an eagerness to help others and alleviate suffering through kindness and generosity. It also indicates the people one approaches for favors and boons, the patronage one is likely to receive in life...there may be gain or scandal or both through amorous adventures...Ascendant or Moon here often couples good intelligence with a tendency toward indiscreet behavior and a capacity for enjoying life... " Professions: People of high position with wealth who are held in esteem by others...People interested in helping their fellow human beings... " So, Kat, we have these mostly positive traits combined with the strong tendency to use other people's money for personal enjoyment. How can this be seen in the birth chart? We learn something new with every horoscope we study. Your son's chart shows the importance not only of the sign-as-house system, but the ascendant degree around the chart as key power points. The two planets closest to the equal cusps are Saturn in the 2nd (resources and the money we have) in its fall in Aries opposed to Jupiter in Libra near the 8th cusp (other people's resources). Any Jyotish astrologer will tell your that Jupiter is poorly placed in Libra. Jupiter belongs to the Ares-Leo-Sag trigon and is not comfortable in a sign ruled by Venus. Jupiter is the morally upright planet, but in a sign of Venus (perhaps especially Libra), it can deteriorate into a love of luxury and fine living or a kind of manipulation of others. At the very least Jupiter in Libra seems often to be fond of material possessions. Saturn in the 2nd in the sign of its fall opposing a materialistic Jupiter has created the difficult situation your son finds himself in. Much of what you describe about your son's life is very much a Jupiter that has run out of bounds. So we have Jupiter in the 8th near the cusp with the Sun and Mercury opposed by Saturn in Aries, the Sun in Jupiter-ruled Sag in the navamsa (...this places the navamsa Sag Sun and Mercury squarely on the 10th (career and reputation) natal equal cusp), and then a tight navamsa conjunction of Jupiter and Mars in Aries, which falls in the natal 2nd house sign. This is partly your son's gift in speech making. (Second house rules speech.) Your son must have a kind of silver tongue to live the life he has. We cannot ignore the natal dispositors either. Venus disposits Mercury, Sun and Jupiter in the 8th, and we find that Venus is with Neptune. So the use of money was not above board, but very much Neptune tinged. With the Indian equal house system, Neptune and Venus are in the 8th along with Jupiter-Sun-Mercury. The 8th always indicates dealings with others, and also a period of time in the life when one is forced to either cooperate with others or suffer restriction. So we see that there is a sort of duality in your son's life: He is both generous and giving, but lacked the moral courage to keep his life and use of money honest and above board. This is no one's fault but his own, so I hope you don't blame yourself in any way. He is joined in his predicament by some very big names in the financial world today. Actually it's good that he didn't get away with the misuse of money because now he'll have the opportunity to balance out his misdeeds while he is still young. This is better than having to meet the situation much later in life when it might be too much of a shock for him to deal with mentally and physically. He'll have many years to set his life in a better direction. Yes, if you include the Moon, he has quite a stellium in Virgo--and the dispositor of the stellium is with the Sun and Jupiter in the 8th in Libra. All those planets in Virgo (similar to Tropical Libra) give the ability to fit into almost any situation and appear to be very much at home in diverse groups. Virgo can be a very personable sign. Mercury gifts its communication skills to this sign in particular. (Virgo is also a sign that can be very comfortable with any occupation that deals with numbers, math and finances, all of which come under Mercury.) I wish both of you well in coming years. Thank you very much for posting your data.
