Hi, I'm fairly new to charting astrology myself and i came across this

group. (I think perhaps i'd rather leave the charting to those of you

who know it better than I) I have always been a firm believer of the

astronomical influence on lives and events, but i always had a problem

with my sun sign never really fitting my personality. I know it can be

due to other influences, but coupled with the fact that my horoscopes

always seem to be a bit off- always made me wonder whats going on?

It always amazed me that sometimes my horoscope would hit-the-head-on-

the-nail BUT was off by a couple of days either before or after.

 

Does sidereal astrology explain this phenomenon? Would someone here be

willing to investigate my zodiac and clear things up for me?

If you post your birth data, maybe someone will take a look at your chart.

It won't hurt to try. Welcome to the sidereal list!

 

It would also help if you say a little about yourself, and explain what

sign traits don't seem to fit you. It's true, however, that the influence

of one or more planets can be much stronger than the signs. I have a new

friend I could call a 'pure Saturn,' another I could call a pure Mars/Ketu.

It may be that you have one or more planets so strong in your chart that

they overshadow any sign influence.

My DOB is January 31,1976 at 7:39 PM. I was born in Minot ND (in an

Air Force Base Hospital on a reservation...in the middle of a blizzard

after 36 hours of labor...LOL.. I have heard this a million times from

my mother!)

1st- i dont think i am at all detached, in fact, often, quite the

opposite.

2nd- I am often lacking confidence

3rd- I am often not reliable (always late,dont return

calls,etc...blush)

God.. talk about feeling vulnerable now...lol!

Anyway, any insight would be appreciated.

(I could be mistaken about some of the traits..its been years since i

had an actual reading- mostly i am self read. Perhaps i need a reading

to refresh my memory..lol)

Dear Vanessa,

 

I am a new member of the Sidereal Astrology group and read your emails

asking for cosmic clarification. :^)

 

In my opinion, it's pretty easy and a lot of fun to answer your questions.

 

The first thing to do is to calculate your chart and print out an astrological

report according to the Tropical zodiac, then do the same for the Sidereal

zodiac, and then you decide which is the " more you. "

 

It will help a great deal if you print each report out and read it with a pencil

in your hand and immediately rate each paragraph (which is an astrological

aspect or sign) " yes, " " no, " or " ok " [neutral] on the margin as to whether you

think it fits you.

 

In this way we'll all be on the same page--literally--and can narrow down and

discuss the issues, the first of which I'd say is whether the Tropical or the

Sidereal zodiac report overall is " more you. "

 

I'm sending you a [free] Kepler Cosmo Natal Report done in the Tropical zodiac

( " Vanessa Tropical " ), and one done in the Sidereal zodiac ( " Vanessa Sidereal " ).

These are small but I think very good basic reports that will give us the

information we want and a level playing field.
