Hi Sari,

There are some interesting ideas in your post except that Cyril Fagan was

wrong when he said that Taurus was once the first sign of the zodiac. It's

true that Alcyone (the Pleiades) in Taurus marked the first lunar mansion

in different ancient cultures, but by the time the 12 sign zodiac was

discovered, the first sign was Aries. Taurus never began the 12 sign

zodiac. At least the records that have been discovered of the earliest

zodiac make Aries the first sign.

There is, however, a valid divison of the zodiac between Cancer and Leo

marking the day/night (solar/lunar) halves of the zodiac.

- How pity! But the idea seems still intriguing...

isn't even her native language. How smart is that?!

Hi Jack,

I don't know the answer to your question, but you might also check the

Physics of Sidereal Astrology forum.

Not wanting to disillusion you, but since Fagan's time we've learned

definitely that the zodiac as we know it came from Meslopotamia, and Libra

was never he first sign. It was always Aries, though the lunar mansions

always began with the Pleaides in Taurus.

The few astronomers that demoted Pluto have many other astronomoers to

disagree with them. Siderealists always gave Pluto to Aries unless they

gave it no sign rulership at all. For me, Pluto is still out there as a

viable astrological planet.
