Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I thought I had posted this in January, but I found it in my outgoing box noted as 'not sent.' So here it is. -------------------- Since Sari had done research on exalted planets, and there has been some discussion of Pisces, I thought I'd look at Venus in Pisces on the ascendant. I divided the charts into two groups: Venus in 12th conj the asc 7 deg orb Venus in 1st conj the asc 7 deg orb I wanted to test two ideas: If Venus acted like an exalted planet in Pisces (though lord of malefic houses) and if there was a difference in events or traits with Venus above or below the horizon. It was gratifying to see that these two groups gave very different results. Because every research project I've done contains a sprinkling of homosexuals, I'm eliminating them from the remarks below. VENUS IN PISCES IN 12TH CONJUNCT ASC Venus in the 12th in Pisces was almost wholly bad, mostly with specific 8th house type events (Venus is 8th lord for Pisces.) There were only 15 charts with a 7 degree orb for Venus: 1. A man who due to an accident was in a coma for 20 days. When he woke, only his left eye functioned. He was able to dictate a book before he died. 2. A child born with no parents due to having surrogate parents, and then the other parents divorced before he was born. 3. A child whose mother was one of Dr. Kavorkian's assisted deaths when she was age 10. 4. A child kidnaped by her father who told her that her mother had died in a car accident. She was raised by the father and his new wives (two). 5. An actor who came from a background of dense poverty 6. Rape victim 7. Child abused to death by his parents 8. An alcoholic prostitute Neutral births: ----------------- 9, 10. Pro astrologers 11. Child of famous parents 12. A noted exception who better fits Venus in the 1st is Dr. Suitbert Ertel. However, if he was born 1 minute earlier than his 8:30 recorded birth time (very probable), his Venus moves below the horizon. It's cases like these that wouldn't show up in a strictly statistical study where the individual charts are not viewed. VENUS IN PISCES IN 1ST CONJUNCT ASC (19 total) 1. Italian politician 2. Entrepreneur, corporate executive 3. Psychiatrist 4. Noted family 5. Radio talk show host, executive 6. American playwright 7. Frances McEvoy, pro astrologer, wrote for NCGR 8. Educator, medical school tutor 9. Lynn Redgrave, actress, famous family 10. John Paul Stevens, Supreme Court jurist 11. Mike Wallace, TV personality 12. Rapid birth (unusual but neutral) 13. Nancy Wilson, one of the most popular pop-jazz singers of her day 14. Astrologer, writer, teacher 15. Musician and composer, rock guitarist 16. Real estate, car, truck, insurance salesman. Formed his own business. 17. Dr. Suitbert Ertel, educator and psychologist (probable) Bad: 18. American criminal (burglary) So there is an almost complete difference in effect if Venus is above or below the horizon in Pisces. This is interesting because Sari found sidereal exaltations at both extremes--good and bad. Here is a possible explanation of the discrepancy: house position rather than the blanket effect of exaltation. It's obvious that there's a difference in the traditional 1st and 12th house. The line of the horizon is critical. In all cases the orb was 7 degrees or less. Therese
