I hope Valerie Roebuck sees that more are printed eventually. It's sad how many good astrology books shine briefly and then disappear. There just aren't enough buyers. ======== No, it wasn't " print on demand " - the publisher took it out of print after a short time, and Valerie was deeply upset by that (I corresponded with her a bit about 3-4 years ago) I'm glad some copies turn up here and there so that people can get the book - it's really excellent. I knew that I would not have the time to get deeply into the nakshatras, but they are among the earliest sources of sky-knowledge that exist, and I wanted to get the fundamentals - especially the original determinant stars (since stars are my bailiwick). She gives the basics - the ruling deities, what they stood for, and the translations are all her own, from the earliest available sources - and that's what I wanted. I don't know the cost of " print-on-demand " books, but there was a good write-up on this on Astroamerica.com (Dave Roell). I printed it out in case I'd finish a book some day. He writes about his experience with various companies. CIRCLE OF STARS is such a good book. Only Valerie has stayed faithful to ancient texts. Stupid publishers. Can't understand either why the wonderful GLORIOUS CONSTELLATIONS (Sesti) was taken out of print with some copies remaindered. Who could remainder (destroy) such a beautiful and inspiring book?? By the way, Diana, I have to thank you for your presence here. It was mostly very quiet before you signed on. Blessings, Therese
