It is a frequent rant by the western-astrology-influenced people to

force the issue of sayana zodiac. KP followers know very well how

accurately the sayana zodiac works...down to the last arc second.

 

The there are many flaws in his arguments; which are more than a

century old; which, interestingly, start at the beginning of the

Western Rule of India. These have been refuted time and again by many

esteemed astrologers including KS Krishnamurthi himself.

 

The article he refers to by Mr. Vartak is with me and Mr. Vartak has

clarified in the beginning of the article itself that he is using

Heliocentric positions while calculating for the sake of simplicity.

Yet, the author goes on ranting about how incorrect his planet

positions are and How they do not match Valmiki's descriptions.

 

Further, the date of Mahabharata war as arrived at by Mr. Vartak can

be confirmed very precisely by using modern astronomy since there is a

peculiar event of 2 eclipses within a span of 14( or 13...sorry I

forgot!) days at the start of that war which is a rare occurance.

 

He has also twisted the statements of Jagatguru Shankaracharya of

Dwarka who had advised to follow " sayana calculations " NOT sayana

zodiac. That was due to the inaccuracy in the traditional nirayana

calculation methods to actual observations.

 

Lastly, The author seems completely ignorant when he says that there

is no predictive astrology in ancient texts, a chief example of which

are the Nadi books, which were written before the precession of the

equinox started in its current direction. It clearly uses Nirayana

zodiac and Vimshottari dasha system for prediction.

 

I have been to such a Nadi astrologer myself and seen its accuracy and

the Rashi and Nakshatra of the planet positions of the Native being

told accurately ACCORDING TO NIRAYANA ZODIAC. If we resort to using

Sayana zodiacs (which are so perfect according to the author) then all

these would be incorrect.You cannot tell the name of the person and

his family members with an incorrect method, can you?!

 

Please do not fall prey to such nonsense. KSK sir and many others have

done amazingly accurate predictions using Nirayana zodiac. These

predictions have vindicated Nirayana method time and again. or as the

author himself puts it, " the proof of pudding is in eating it " . Peace.
