Guest guest
Dear Margarita, This is not a virus. If you delete this, your Word program will not be able to recognize long string of sentences, and you will need to re-install this. Please do not do this. I did it and had to go through the headache of re-setting everything. Swee -----Original Message----- dmlettens [dmlettens] 22 November 2001 17:57 To: Subject: VIRUS ALERT Hello all, I was infected with a " sleeping virus " , called SULFNBK.EXE. It becomes active after a few weeks. Norton Anti-Virus doesn't recognize this one neither do PC-cillin or other programs I know off. To check if this virus is sleeping in your computer do the following: click START click SEARCH chose FILES AND FOLDERS and type SULFNBK.EXE chose DISK C click SERACH NOW the virus will appear as a litle black square and will be probably located in Directory C:\Windows\Command. DELETE the virus then empty your trash bin. I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused to you all but the good news is that once the virus is removed it's gone. Guest guest
Dear Members, I know this a KP site. I came across this msg. Hope this helps all of us. Be alert during the next few days: Don't open any message with an attached file called " Invitation " , regardless of who sent it. It's a virus that opens an Olympic Torch that " burns " the whole harddisk of your computer. This virus will come from someone who has your e-mail address; that's why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts. It's better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus DON'T open it and shut down your computer immediately... This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it's been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. The virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there's no repair yet for this particular virus. It simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disk, where vital information is kept. Also:- Emails with pictures of Osama Bin-Laden hanged are being sent and the moment you open these emails your computer will crash and you will not be able to fix it! This e-mail is being distributed through countries around the globe, but mainly in the US and Israel . Don't be inconsiderate; send this warning to whomever you know. If you et an email along the lines of " Osama Bin Laden Captured " or " Osama Hanged " don't open the attachment. SEND THIS E-MAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW FOR EARLY ACTION.
