Dear K Dash ji,

Going through the ancient texts of astrology, I feel that astrology

was rather like a religion, a vedanga, a system with concepts unique

to its own: while considering rebirth (punar jenma), karma, punya-

papa, the (3 or more) worlds, or anything else. In that ancient period

probably it was not necessary for this branch to borrow such concepts

from other vedangas. Yes, most of such knowledge related to astrology

(original astrological view point on such things) is lost, but still

if some unbiased person is trying to study this subject through the

ancient slokas, most of such concepts could be recreated (from the

supporting evidence), I feel. Yes, I know, most of them will laugh at

such an idea....:) But as the option is there, it is sure to frutify

one day. The divine law leaves no stone unturned...:)

You said:

Yes, we are all (just ordinary souls). But I would like to add, " even

the enlightened ones " . Because the potential is there in everybody,

always present!!! As osho said " it is only in spirituality that true

socialism is possible " , because all souls are similar!!! And they have

equal chance of realization or enlightenment!!!

Better to feel spiritually we are below none and above none. Siva has

to come as chadnala to make sankaracharya realize it!! The big tree

that produces good fruits and that short thorny plant without any

fruits are all equal, if one don't want to get benefited by the same.

The difference only exists in our mind, " Who selfishly tries to USE

the benefits of that plant " , and NOT really in them. They are equal

spiritually. Who knows by meditating on its own fate the thorny plant

may get enlightenment first, and the big mango tree with full of

fruits may become egotic!! Or it may be the reverse! Who knows!! All

the unique laws of the game maker - GOD!! So better to forget the

difference (at least spiritually, since socialism can not exist

mentally, bodily or socially) and enjoy this god given life....Ohm....

My feelings are there in my previous mail, or in this...Just go

through.....

> And take the thought thread forward if there is merit in it.

Yes, it is the thread that weaves everything together...Yes, thought

is the one that creates concepts, ideas, classifications, and in short

the world we experience. Even perceptions and sensations are thoughts

in subtle sense they say....

Thanks a lot for that note.....

primarily to say how much I appreciate your mercurial spin. Karma and

fate -- the final exploration is never done. Someone described

astrology as a pravritti vidya as if the hidden reflux of nivritti is

kept out -- be it for the querent or the practitioner; as if vidya and

maarg (as in nivritti maarg) are two blithely unrelated categories.

context-insensitively, I would say we are all sin-cerely trying to

redeem our divinity from the web. Many have been the ways devised to

cut loose. To my mind, only few manage to hit upon the right cut-off

line between done and not-done (sin and merit are loaded concepts), as

the ways of karma are mysterious indeed.

in my emphasis. And take the thought thread forward if there is merit

in it.
