Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji, Rigveda was written in 1500-100 BC, Atharvadeva & yAJURVEDA IN 1000-500 BC, Gautam Buddha was born in 563 BC, and Mahavira in 540 BC. And there were tirthankars before Mahavira in Jainism. To my raw mind, it appears Jainism & Buddhism did not come from Hinduism. I am not an astrologer, not a historian, have an open mind, and ever a learner. Will be glad if any confusion in my mind gets cleared. Guest guest
Dear Vinay ji, All your dates and perceptions are wrong and am not interested to change your views. If you think that the Earth is square and the sky meets the ocean every evening, and that the Sun goes in hiding at Sunset inside a Big cave, then its your take, I am not here to remove your confusions. Its quite obvious what your agenda is, on this Forum. Bhaskar. , " Vinay Gakkhar. Guest guest
Dear Vinay-ji, The timeline suggested by you needs revision. Guest guest
Before the Vedas were written ( in the present form ) they were handed down generations thru other means maybe. Max Mueller had out forth the theorey of Aryan Invasion and before he passed away, he himself rebutted that theorey. It took an experiment for an organisation to produce a Jagadguru ( self Disclaimed ) in Shri J. Krishnamurti. What he says is what our ancient scriptures say - albeit more poetically.I dont know why should we discuss our history as presumed by white men for whom this country was just an exotic land. I do not intend to be rasicist as we may be having many overseas members, but just felt like sharing what i felt.
