In my humble opinion the subject will mist probably meet with

Dear Gopi ji,

Yes, but they are as good as we are and let us appreciate them for that. It is

not the question of which method used, but rather - whether that method was

effective and whether they were able to reach at least near the truth.

Predicting everything 100% accurate is impossible for every one.

And scholars like Ramesh Mishra ji known many systems and mainly considered as

well learned KAS scholars. Lajmi and Sudan used KP system for result derivation.

My special regards to Lajmi ji providing detailed description of the methodology

he used to arrive at the result.

Even though in this group we concentrate on traditional methods we don't have

anything against people who follow other methodologies/techniques. As long as

someone is able to arrive at correct or near correct result using any method,

that should be appreciated - because " Jyotisha Phalamadesha " [Astrologer should

be able to predict (correctly)] is the base purpose of any system used. If that

purpose is achieved, and he is able to use it consistently to arrive at near

correct results in at least 60% of the cases, then whatever system he used has a

piece of truth in it - and we should appreciate that system as well as that

persons mastery of that system without prejudice.

It is just like treatment methods such as Ayurveda, Allopathy, Homeopathy,

Naturopathy etc. They may never agree upon on theoretical fundamentals and

methods used - but if they cures the patients (i.e achieves their prime purpose

effectively) then that is ok; and they have some truth in them - even if our

partial views (from one of that perspective) was unable to capture it

effectively.

Further don't forget that KP system is based on some quotes in Prasnamarga

where Prasnamarga describes the method as " Paramam Rahasyam " (Top secret). Thus

KP is just an off shoot of the traditional astrology based on some important

methods given in Prasnamarga whether KPists - including Krishnamoorti - accepts

it or not.

We discuss and this group is dedicated to ancient indian astrology; but that

does not mean that we are against the modern off shoots of traditional astrology

even though we may not be concentrating or discussing them much in this group.

we are not against the modern off shoots of traditional astrology, some of which

even goes against the fundamentals of traditional system, but the point is this

group is not to concentrate or popularize them but instead concentrates on the

ancient indian astrology (i.e. traditional system) and discusses and

concentrates of the same.

When it comes to theoretical discussions we will blame/discard anything and

everything that goes against the foundations of ancient indian astrology - but

that DOES NOT mean that all the other methods/techniques are useless, or that

there is no amount of truth in them. As Satya prakash ji puts in (in another

context) truth CANNOT be comprehend through just one system/method/approach.

Truth is usually beyond complete comprehension and all our tools and

methodologies are just tools and nets to capture that fish!
