If moon is placed in the Panapara signa (2, 5, 8 and11) from Sun, then the effects will be medium If the moon is placed in the Apoklima sign (3, 6, 9 and12) from Sun, then the effects such as wealth, intelligence, cleverness/skillfulness & modestly / humility etc will be maximum. " If the birth is at night & moon is week (Krishna Paksha) & moon is in the Adrishya bhava (from lagna to 7th house), it shall confer, fear, grief etc. If the moon is the drishya bhava (from 7th to Lagna ) & birth is at day time & Krishna Paksha, the effects shall be medium If the moon is full (shukla Paksha) and the birth is night & moon in drishya bhaga, the native becomes a king. If the moon is full (Shukla Paksha) & birth is at day time & moon in adrishya chkra, the native becomes a king. The above are very important observations normally ignored. These are two bodies, luminaries that we can see with our naked eyes far better than any other bodies. So the effect of malefic or benefic factors depends on the placement of moon & its strength. Meaning of the first verse is direct and simple hence needs no further explanation. In the second verse there 1) Birth time (day or night) 2) Paksha (Krishna / Sukhla) 3) Placement of Moon in the visible or invisible half of the chart. Visible half is called Drishya chakra is from 7th house to lagna Suppose Lagna is Mesha 0 deg then Dridhya half is 180deg to 360 deg (start of 7th house to end of 12th house) Adrihsya half is 0deg to 180deg (Start of lagna to end if 6th house) Moon is strong at night & weak during day time (naturally, we can see moon only when it is dark) Krishna Paksha means, moon is closing in on Sun loosing its strength Sukhla Paksha means, moon is moving from Sun thus increasing its strength. The concept of Adrishya & Drishya half are very important. It helps us to evaluate many aspects such as identification of hidden traits and factors, level of effect etc. So in the above condition we can table the yoga as 1) Birth in Day time + Shukla Paksha + Moon in Drishya 2) Birth in Day time + Krishna Paksha + Moon in Drishya - medium 3) Birth in Day time + Shukhla Paksha + Moon in Adrishya - King 4) Birth in Day Time + Krisha Paksha + Moon in Adrishya 5) Birth in Night + Shukla Paksha + Moon in Drishya - King 6) Birth in Night + Krishna Paksha + Moon in Drishya 7) Birth in Night + Shukhla Paksha + Moon in Adrishya 8) Birth in Night + Krisha Paksha + Moon in Adrishya – Bad (Fear & grief) So you get 8 yogas from one verse. The effect of two yogas in each set is given. The effect of others can be easily assumed. Here is example Lagna Vrishabha Venus - Vrishabha Mercury – Mithuna Sun - Karkata Rahu – Karkata Moon – Simha Jupiter – Simha Saturn – Simha Mars – Kanya Ketu – Makara Gulika – Mithuna Navamsa Lagna – Kumbha Mars – Meena Rahu – Meena Mercury- Mesha Sun - Karkata Jupiter- Simha Venus – Jupiter Ketu-Kanya Moon- Vrischika Saturn- Dhanu Gulika - Makara You can see that Moon is weak being in the next sign of sun, in Adrishya Half from Lagna, and the birth being at night time. The native complained about mental tension & other very personal issues. The only consolation is that the moon is in Sukhla Paksha. This also is an example of the first verse – Moon in panapara signs (2, 5, 8, and 11) from sun. The above two are also a quick pointer as to the effects or strength of a chart. But it is a little more important in Prashan Chart. A.G.Suresh Babu Shenoy --- End forwarded message ---
