Dear Gopu ji, The problem seems to be more associated with the language/sentance construction concept of kids and grown-ups. For example if you change the question format it would be very very easy for the grown-ups to locate the answer, I believe. For example, if you ask -1. The word ............ ......... .. has seven letters.2. ............ ......... .......Preceded God.3. ............ ......... .... is Greater than God.4. ............ ......... is more Evil than the devil.5. Poor people have ............ .......6. Wealthy people need ............ ........7. If you eat ............ ......... , you will die. Now, put this question forward to the grown-ups and they will solve it in a minute! The problem is the grown-ups EXPECT the question to perfect and made-up of using well constructed sentences. i.e. They ASSUME the questionnaire and question to

be well constructed; and then try to answer based on this extra parameter of their understanding about the way in which we (grown-ups; english language using human beings) construct sentences! The question violates this minimum expectation, and boast of catching the grown-up on a wrong foot! Thus the above question can be a measure of linguistic understanding; but certainly not of intellect. For the kids their language capabilities are poor and so the structure of the sentences given above does not matter much (they ignore this parameter); and their thinking is unconventional.
