Dear Manoj ji,

It is NOT a blanket statement against neither Christ nor true Christians. I

respect Jesus (Christ) and Christians as the followers of Christ; but my words

were against only those who misinterpret Jesus and turn that beautiful teachings

upside down.

For example If I think that Paul was NOT an enlightened man and the major

blame for damaging the teachings of Jesus and introducing the hatred to other

religions (as Christianity as the 'only' way!) should go to him; and if I don't

like king Constantine for he was the autocratic converter of others to

Christianity using power (and NOT through love!); and if I expressing these

opinions - which I think/trust as truth - then what is wrong in it?! I don't

think there is any! We all have freedom to express our sincere thoughts -

whether others may agree to it or not.

//Being Hindus I feel we have a right to be fiercely ciritical of our own

religion but may be we should show more restraint in criticizing others.//

I am NOT a Hindu or Christian; but a HUMAN! I love the teachings of Jesus as

much as I love the teachings of Hindus. The same would be true about the

teachings of Buddha, Mahaveera, Lavotsu, Osho, Jiddu etc as well. Let me repeat

I am NOT a Hindu. But as sincere human being, I could be a better hindu than

many so called hindus, and a better christian than so called christians, a

better buddhist than the so called buddhists, or in short a better human being.

This what I want to stress.

Love and regards,

Sreenadh

After all we are not Christians and we don't live as Christians.

Also Christianity also has various flavours and subtelties as Hindus have. Being

Hindus I feel we have a right to be fiercely ciritical of our own religion but

may be we should show more restraint in criticizing others.

Dear Manoj ji, //Grahas being inert. Astrology can be a very passionate subject, BUT religion can invoke even greater passions and emotions. //Yes, ofcourse astrology is a passionate subject, and so is spirituality. BUT hell with organized religions; it spirituality that matters and NOT religion. Spirituality is an individual pursuit, where as religion is a massacre of individuality and spirituality - both! //> I consider Sreenadh Ji a good friend of mine and a very knowledgeable person in Astrology. BUT when he makes a statement that I see as "unfair" or "inappropriate" I feel as a friend, obliged to give my opinion. //Right you are! It should be like that. //I always try to be fair and objective, AND as a Moderator, I have the responsibility to comment on some thing, even if it comes from the Owner of this Group.//Why should we bring-up the owner etc here! I am just a member only in discussion and nothing else! //There

is ALWAYS a way to make our point, without being or appearing disrespectful. //I was not disrespectful- but ofcourse was making a point strongly and emphatically; and that is my trend always I feel. :) It could be just that you feel it as disrespectful, others may have different feeling/opinion. :)Love and regards,Sreenadhancient_indian_ astrology, Manoj Chandran <chandran_manoj@ ...> wrote:>> Dear Utkal Ji,> > I usually keep away from non-astrological posts.
