Dear All,

The following is a mail on Rahu aspect from Anil Kumar. What is your opinion?

Rahu and Ketu has aspect or not? Similarly Rahu and Ketu has

exaltation/debilitation or not?

Apart from current compilation of BPHS which are the other ancient astro

classics that speak about Rahu-Ketu Drishti? Do they have consensus among them

regarding drishti, exaltation, debilitation etc of Rahu-Ketu? Is so why? If not

why?

First, Tamo grah include both raho and ketu.Both block light during

eclipse.

Second, If you prescribe the results to aspects,there is no need to

consider any special rule.What happens if 7th is empty?Ofcourse you

have

to see it in some vargas as ketu is always in 7th from rahu in D1. So

do

you think that it will not give any results of 7th house from it in

say

D24? Do you use it for both natal and transit placement?

 

As far as classical reference is concerned,See Jatak-Parijat ch.2

verse 32.

It clearly says rahu's aspect is downward,confirming Rahu has aspect!

 

BPHS(Khemraj-Shrikrishndas-edition) in chapter 47,verse 26,says:

SUT-MADAN-NAV-ANTE POORN DRISHTIM TAMASYA

YUGAL-DASHAM GEHE CH ARDH DRISHTIM VADANTI

SAHAJ-RIPU VIPASHYAN PAD DRISHTI

 

Meaning rahu and ketu have full aspect on 5-7-9-12.

half aspect on 2-10.

quarter aspect on 3-6.

 

Do you have this BPHS?

Late Jagannath Bhasin has strongly endorsed these aspects in his

books.

 

Now can you provide any reference which explicitly says that Rahu/Ketu

do not have any aspect?

I think there is still need of describing it as 7th aspect.Otherwise,

it

should not give any results in Rahu dasha.Its results will be

restricted

to Ketu dasha only.If you get results in both rahu and ketu dasha,you

have

to accept both.
