12th Lord - what does it do where its placed ?

Dear friends,

The 12th Lord wherever it is placed will deny the significations of that

house to the native, for it is the " Lord of denial " . If it is placed in

the 4th it will bring detachment from family Life and will bring in

vairagya in the native. If placed in the 5th house it will create

problems in progeny. If placed in 1st house, it will be a case of self

undoing. If in 7th house Love required from spouse may not be in full

etc.

please put forth your views .

Love n regards,

bhaskar.

Dear Bhaskarji,

Dear Chiranjiv ji,

Did not quite understand this. If moon exalted in the 11th, it means

Cancer Lagna. If 12th lord in 8th then it means Mercury in aquarius. But

how will it get Exalted here ? And what else you wrote about Sun and

kanya rashi.

Also mention what is the effect of all this in Natives Life which you

see.

Hello,Both my brother and my daughter have 12th lord in the 12th house. I find they are very careful in spending money, to the extent of being considered strict. Whenever they buy something or spend on something, the first thing they see is if 1) They need it 2) if it is worth the money - if it is too costly they think twice and if it is too cheap, then also they think twice 3) they buy the best thing they can buy after weighing and cross checking prices 4)They spend happily for religious purposes or for charity without any second thoughts..5) if they find money being wasted , they really get irritated and are not hesitant to raise the issue. Dear Bhaskar ji, Chiranjiv ji and Manoj ji,

Intersting discussion! Do you think the "lord of denial" is as straight forward resulting in literal sense?

How about self control, foreign stay/travel and meditation (being the other means of being away/ detached for a good cause) as aspects of this house?

There may be quite a few combinations where the lord of 12th is also a ruler/exalted in other house.

Similer to the one mentioned, for saggi lagna, lord of 12th house (Mars) is exalted in 5th (Aries).

Also, would it be wise to consider 12th from moon more prominently for this house?

Thanks and regards

Roshan

Dear Roshanji,

I agree that the " denial " may be due to other factors like you mentioned.

As what will be the reason may be determined by factors like benefic/malefic, in enemy house or friendly house and what is the 12th house natural karaka for.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Bhaskar Ji,

I am putting forward My views as below........Apart from other

influence at glance we can decide as below

--If Lord of any Bhaav goto 12 th place from that Baav or 12th Lord of

that Bhaav placed in Bhaav........It reduce results of this concern

Bhaav.

--If Seven Lord moves to Sixth or Sixth Lord Placed in Seventh that

tells that there is definitely less amount for result for 7th house

matters......marriage life will be less happy

--If 10th Lord moves to 9th or 9th lord Placed to 10th house then 10th

House matters reduced......native may not get good authority/power

vairagya in the native. If placed in the 5th house it will create

Dear Devisingh ji,

Except for all other houses which you mentioned, is true, this one is an

exception.

// If 10th Lord moves to 9th or 9th lord Placed to 10th house then 10th

House matters reduced......native may not get good authority/power //

If You check out then you will find it written in some or the other

texts, that this is an exception.

Dear Roshan ji,

The factors of the 12th house will automatically come in play in a persons Life

when they have to. I just begun my 12th house activation two months back, and

whether it suits me or not, whether it has my approval or mot, I am away from my

house, and mother since last two months, away from Bombay and living in jaipur,

and yet for some days more.

This has happened to me in the past on two occasions once in 1985 and the other

time in 1990. My Moon has connection with the 4th and so has Jupiter whose

antardasha just begun for me. I had predicted this to my wife about a year ago

that we will have to leave the house due to certain circumstances appearing,in

this period, I do not know what

could be the reasons, but we have to,so I will make a conscious attempt to leave

before we are forced to leave so due to some adversary conditions. And by Gods

grace some auspicious happenning in the family led me to leave Bombay.

Lord of denial actually denies, there is no doubt about it.I have seen it

hapenning 3 times in my own horoscope whenever Moon got the power to yield its

powers. Moon in my chart is placed in the 4th (In Bhava chalit).

When a person gets detached there are only two ways to act, one is 1)Positive -

religion, travel, foreign stay, association with Yoga institutions and such ,

AND 2) Negative - Assylum, Hospitalisation or committing a crime in frustration

and landing in prison. Both these are represented by the 12th. So nothing new

here if one detaches himself. That is the way of the 12th which brings this.

About considering the 12th from Moon and judging, I have not tried this, but

please ry it in charts where the Natal Lagna Lord is weak and the Moon Lagna is

stronger.

regards/Bhaskar.

Dear Bhaskar ji,I just got inquisitive little late after reading through this long trail. As you are aware I am not at all well versed in astrology but just a very basic little understanding on this subject. So will chose to learn it in through example on my own kundali or someone I know. In my case lord of 12th house (capricorn) saturn is also my lagna lord (Aquarius ascendant) and is placed in my 5th huse gemini. Similarly a female friend of mine also have Aquarius ascendant adn 12th house lord is in house 7th house. So as per "denial" theory, I will have problem or no childrens and my friend will have marriage issues or "denial" of marriage? My question is will Saturn being my lagna lord will be relatively better for me? or the above mentioned rules of 12th

lord will still be applicable? If by mistake I have raised any silly question.. or made mistake in lagan lord or lord of houses.thanks & regardsrajesh--- On Thu, 12/3/09, Bhaskar <bhaskar_jyotish wrote:Bhaskar <bhaskar_jyotish Re: 12th Lord - what does it do where its placed ? Dear Roshan ji,

The factors of the 12th house will automatically come in play in a persons Life when they have to. I just begun my 12th house activation two months back, and whether it suits me or not, whether it has my approval or mot, I am away from my house, and mother since last two months, away from Bombay and living in jaipur, and yet for some days more.

This has happened to me in the past on two occasions once in 1985 and the other time in 1990. My Moon has connection with the 4th and so has Jupiter whose antardasha just begun for me. I had predicted this to my wife about a year ago that we will have to leave the house due to certain circumstances appearing,in this period, I do not know what

could be the reasons, but we have to,so I will make a conscious attempt to leave before we are forced to leave so due to some adversary conditions. And by Gods grace some auspicious happenning in the family led me to leave Bombay.

Lord of denial actually denies, there is no doubt about it.I have seen it hapenning 3 times in my own horoscope whenever Moon got the power to yield its powers. Moon in my chart is placed in the 4th (In Bhava chalit).

When a person gets detached there are only two ways to act, one is 1)Positive - religion, travel, foreign stay, association with Yoga institutions and such , AND 2) Negative - Assylum, Hospitalisation or committing a crime in frustration and landing in prison. Both these are represented by the 12th. So nothing new here if one detaches himself. That is the way of the 12th which brings this.

About considering the 12th from Moon and judging, I have not tried this, but please ry it in charts where the Natal Lagna Lord is weak and the Moon Lagna is stronger.

regards/Bhaskar.

Dear Rajesh ji,

A good question and I am admiring your observations about Saturn.

1) First you must check whether the Lord of 12th moves to either the 4th house

or the 6th house or remains in the 5th.

2) Saturn in Your case will override the results of the 12th house and prove

beneficial to your chart. Why ? For the simple reason that as the Lagna Lord its

the Lord of a Kendra , both Lagna and Trikona, so it is more stronger as a

benefic for your Ascendant. Its play as a 12th Lord is like a Pop number in a

film, while as a Kendra Lord will act like the hero of the film.

3) Denial does not mean outright or total denial necessarily. This only means

that the happiness receivable from the particular house significations are

markedly reduced.

best wishes,

Bhaskar.

Dear Bhaskar ji,

Thank you for the inputs. Indeed this is intersting to note that one of my close friends ( karka lagna) became aloof and went away just before the budh antardasha started in August'09 (in Rahu). I would like to request the info as to how were your bhukti periods , as soon as the antardasha period of moon completed the cycle did you get back to your place or the life took a new direction? It is always a pleasure to learn from your examples.

One more aspect of 12th house I would like to seek your opinion on is it's conncetion with the past life. I would suggest that 12 house rather a bridge between the conscious and the metaphysical aspect and the subtle signals one's life may provide through placement of the 12th lord in various houses. Please coment.

Rajesh ji, Again drawing a straight forward conclusion may not be wise. However the general indications suggest that there may be a delay in having children and thats about it. What dasha you are running will grately determine the extent of result to be expected. Saturn in Gemini is generally good.

About your friend, I would rather say that periods of dasha bhukti of Saturn in Leo in seventh house may bring out strong and sudden detachment from the marriage or partnership and may thus delay the proceedings.

Best regards

Roshan

Dear Bhaskar ji,

I just got inquisitive little late after reading through this long trail.

My question is will Saturn being my lagna lord will be relatively better for me? or the above mentioned rules of 12th lord will still be applicable? If by mistake I have raised any silly question.. or made mistake in lagan lord or lord of houses.

thanks & regards

Dear Roshan ji,The factors of the 12th house will automatically come in play in a persons Life when they have to. I had predicted this to my wife about a year ago that we will have to leave the house due to certain circumstances appearing,in this period, I do not know whatcould be the reasons, but we have to,so I will make a conscious attempt to leave before we are forced to leave so due to some adversary conditions. And by Gods grace some auspicious happenning in the family led me to leave

Bombay.Lord of denial actually denies, there is no doubt about it.I have seen it hapenning 3 times in my own horoscope whenever Moon got the power to yield its powers. That is the way of the 12th which brings this.About considering the 12th from Moon and judging, I have not tried this, but please ry it in charts where the Natal Lagna Lord is weak and the Moon Lagna is stronger.regards/Bhaskar. ancient_indian_ astrology, rossin ucile <kandisa_ur@ ...>

Dear Devisingh Ji,

I agree with Bhaskar Ji that 10L in 9H is an exception. It may cause problems only if condition of 10L is bad (deb in 9H or very afflictedin 9H), otherwise it should not.

Also I don't always with the second line of argument, you have proposed. For example if 4L is placed in the 5H, it does not reduce creativity, intelligence, nor does it affect children much. If the 12H in question is a dusthana, then the results will manifest (6L in 7H, 8L in 9H, 12L in 1H). Interestingly 7L in 8H, 5L in 6H will damage 7H, 5H significations but will improve 8H, 6H significations.

Regards,

-Manoj

Dear Roshan ji,

My life took a new direction during the cycle of the 12th Lord moon becoming

active at all 3 times, and during the previous two times, it again came back to

the old mould with some changes, and newer understanding of people around me,

who were cause of these abrupt changes at both times, especially the connection

of the badhak sthana which was very prominent as the catalyst in last two times.

This 3rd time I am undergoing prsently, the badhak sthana significations are

again troubling me but I made a conscious effort to get away from my

environments (Before it could strike), so physically much away from the

geographical area of concern, but yet mentally it weighs on my mind.

Regards to the spiritual side or must say the " detachment " side it is again

prominent in all the three times of my Life. certainly the past Life collective

issues are coming on the fore, the attachments which one has, are turning into

forced detachments, forced due to circumstances over which one has no control in

life, no free will working here. If one accepts it is a straight " Rape " . if one

does not accept it is still a struggle. I remember the last two times I felt

loss of my mothers company both times, and the first time I met my mother in

1986 after two years gap, I was at age 24 not talking with her but crying aloud

for full 5 minutes on seeing her. I have some connections with her, more than

normal. I have seem myself entering her womb during her journey in a train to

her fathers place, before my birth (Now this may be hard to digest for the

readers). yes my attachmen with my mother has been more than normal. My

childhood was a very disturbed one. Now again I am feeling the pains and pangs

of seperation from her, but know very well that if I go near her, the badhak

sthana will strike and make it more discomforting. So wish to give some space

for the 12th house to do its bidding. If one gives the stars what they want,

then there will be no forced requisitions. The astrologer must have the fore

knowledge and must be prepared to flow with the tide after a show of least

resistance. One has certain bondings with certain persons in his Life. I know

through the messages of spirits (Those who have been dead and communicating to

the living), that one chooses his mother before birth from a number of mothers.

So is written in our shastras about certain relations. Pahle prarbdh racha phir

racha shareer. Tu fifra kyon kare praani. Bhajle Raghubeer.

I feel that the house where the 12th lord is placed, is the area from which the

native yearns to have more of, but available is too less, and this longing is

created , this dearth is created, this empty pit is created only due to certain

old karma of past births which the native is now made to suffer in present

birth. i also feel that the badhaksthana significations have some strong

co-relations with this dearth in natives Life.

But these are the musings of one who has suffered and experienced through this.

About others i do not know, whether this works or not. And we do not have so

much time on our hands to do some research on this.

sorry for the long mail.

regards/Bhaskar.

Dear Anita Ji,

Thanks for sharing this. Yes, what you describe is very typical quality of a well placed 12L. Since these positive qualities are there, the lord is probably well conditioned (ie not in debilitation etc). But interesting it will be to observe how the qualities of the "other" house owned by this 12L manifests, being that it is placed in the 12H? If you could share that, that might be interesting.

Yes. That is an interesting position. It is always interesting to see dusthana lords exalted/debilitated in other dusthana houses.

Running Sani MD and Dob is 6th May 1962. Do not know time and other details but only came to know these details thru casual conversation.

Are you hinting at 12th Lord Sun in exalation in 8th house ? I am also looking at that angle.Chiranjiv Mehta--- On Tue, 1/12/09, Manoj Chandran <chandran_manoj@ > wrote:

Dear Chiranjiv Ji,

Can you relate to us if this person has run dasha/antar of the 12L and what the effects are? If you can give details of other planets in Rashi that will be helpful as well.

Dear Chiranjiv ji,Did not quite understand this. If moon exalted in the 11th, it meansCancer Lagna. If 12th lord in 8th then it means Mercury in aquarius. Buthow will it get Exalted here ? And what else you wrote about Sun andkanya rashi. Also mention what is the effect of all this in Natives Life which yousee.regards/Bhaskar.ancient_indian_ astrology, chiranjiv mehta<vchiranjiv@ ...> wrote:>> Dear Bhaskarji,> Â> Just came across a person with 12th in 8th but exalated. Dear Manoj Ji,Bhaskar Ji,

Thanks for your inputs here..... that is why i have specially mentioned

such case to notice same.

I am searching for such horoscope details i had seen where person not

got good authority....... beside other factors this was the 1 of them.

However i agree with reasoning that in such cases some other factors

are not damaging much then result can never be worst

Dear Devisingh Ji,

I agree with Bhaskar Ji that 10L in 9H is an exception. It may

cause problems only if condition of 10L is bad (deb in 9H or very

afflictedin 9H), otherwise it should not.

Also I don't always with the second line of argument, you have

proposed. For example if 4L is placed in the 5H, it does not reduce

creativity, intelligence, nor does it affect children much. If the 12H

in question is a dusthana, then the results will manifest (6L in 7H, 8L

in 9H, 12L in 1H). Interestingly 7L in 8H, 5L in 6H will damage 7H, 5H

significations but will improve 8H, 6H  significations.

Dear Devisingh ji,

Except for all other houses which you mentioned, is true, this one is an

exception.

// If 10th Lord moves to 9th or 9th lord Placed to 10th house then 10th

House matters reduced..... .native may not get good authority/power //

If You check out then you will find it written in some or the other

texts, that this is an exception.

Bhaskar.
