Dear Kulbir Ji,Thanks for the valuable knowledge that you've been sharing with the group.//Through the help of such contacts and divine grace Prabhakar ji was

able to get hold of all the five original editions and with the help of

Shri Nirmal Ji of Chandigarh, he has uploaded all these books on

internet and thereby available to all free of cost.//Can you provide the web link where all five original editions are available. Thanks.Best Regards,Deepak Sharmakulbir <kulbirbains Sent: Sat, December 5, 2009 5:32:43 PM Re: Lalkitab; a brief introduction to history

Santhosh Ji;

Lalkitb comprises of 5 books

1. Samudrik Ki Lalkitab Ke Farmaan, published in 1939 AD;

2. Samudrik Ki Lalkitab Ke Armaan, published in 1940 AD:

3. Lalkitab Teesra Hissa published, in 1941 AD:

4. Lalkitab Tarmeemshuda published, in 1942 AD;

5. Ilm-e Samudrik ki buniyad par jyotish ki Lalkitab published in 1952 AD.

The books have photograph of Pt. Sharma Girdhari Lal; resident of Pharwala depicting him as printer and publisher and the name of Shri Aatma Ram Sharma resident of Tehsil Noorpur; District Kangra is mentioned as Katib ( calighrapher, composer script-writter) .

The books were printed at Jahaazi Press, Lahore and contact address mentioned is of Calcutta Photo Shop; Amritsar; Calcutta Photo Shop; Dharmshala; Kangra.

The author of these books is Pt. Rup Chand Joshi son of Shri Jyoti Ram Joshi resident of Village Pharwala, District Jalandhar; Punjab; Date of birth 18-01-1898; or 10-5-1898; Pt. Ji served in Defense accounts and retired as Assistant Accounts officer. He was posted at different places in India e.g Lahore, Dharamshal, Bombay, Madras, Ambala, Shimla. During his service tenure. He expired on 24-12-1982.

Pt. Girdhari lal Sharma ji and Pt Rup Chand Joshi ji were first cousins.

These books were written in Urdu script and published in a small number. Over the years English and Hindi took the center stage, pushing Urdu into oblivion. Some translations appeared in 1990's in Hindi but had many many mistakes; The 1952 edition's translation caught fancy of every one who laid his eyes on it and it further let to ignorance about other 4 editions.

Shri Yograj Prabhakar resident of Patiala took on the task of bringing out the true/exact content as published in the original form. He had copy of 1952 original edition and was ready to share but for other 4 parts he had to struggle a lot as the people who possessed the copies didn't want to share it. Fortunately internet technology came handy and he was able to establish contact with Shri Rajinder Bhatia living in U.S.A who is a family friend of Pt ji. Through the help of such contacts and divine grace Prabhakar ji was able to get hold of all the five original editions and with the help of Shri Nirmal Ji of Chandigarh, he has uploaded all these books on internet and thereby available to all free of cost.

Under his guidance Shri Veni Madhav Goswami of Delhi published the exact transliterations i.e. only the script was changed to devnagri but words remained same; care was taken that word; line no; page no matched with the original works. 1939; 1940; 1942 editions have been published by Sagar publications and the fifth and final edition is scheduled to be released on 13-12-2009. 1941 edition's transliteration has been published by Yograj ji himself.

Kulbir

Deepak ji; i am a conservative, i don't approve of reading commentaries before going through the original text.However as per your command i am sending articles as per my understanding.

Basis of lalkitab system

Part-1, the need to develop this

system

It has been explained in the book metaphorically, 1. a young man full of

enthusiasm, infused with will power; having all possible material tools of

success at his disposal decided not to look for any divine help but try to

succeed by the dint of his hard labour and efforts alone: but the results were

not as expected: instead he saw another person who was far under -qualified

ascending the ladder of success by leaps and bounds, he was perplexed, cold

sweat appeared on his forehead and his mind asked him to find the reason for

this.

He turned towards study of

destiny.

Astrology and Palmistry were the basic prevalent tools. In case of astrology it

was observed that so many people have identical horoscopes but destinies

differ. So much so that destinies of twins are not similar.

In case of palmistry, lines

of hand develop till 12 years at rapid pace; there is less change after 18

years, only branches from main lines change; so how to depend on lines that

change.

Then it was seen that in

calamities like floods, famine, earthquakes, war, accidents, epidemics;

thousands perish at the same time. Do the have similar horoscopes and palms.

The biggest problem

encountered with astrology was rectification of birth time; the palmistry

portion’s limitation was that it didn’t give concrete information about the

articles, companions that play a crucial role in outcome of destiny.

Deep meditation, concentration, elevated consciousness

and keen observation led to the answer that;

When (as per the divine scheme) a soul enters the womb of the mother, the graph

of its karmic record also accompanies it. In the first stage, the brain of the

child develops, the karmic records' graph influences the development of the brain,

this development of brain, in turn is instrumental in further extension i.e.

giving shape to various limbs and organs of the body: palm, lines and mounts on

the palm. This karmic graph can also be

deciphered by drawing a horoscope coinciding with the time of birth of the

child. When a soul gets shape of a body the planetary influence also manifests

itself in the native's surroundings, his relatives, animate and inanimate

things that accompany or are to accompany him. So vaastu, face reading, body

structure, body language, handwriting analysis, eating habits, behavioral

pattern, relatives, articles, etc. all were synchronized to see the pattern.

Some of these karmic records’ results can be molded to native's advantage as these are treated as suspicious: whereas to

others which are treated are unchangeable, the native is chained and is bound

to suffer the results. Only some person blessed with divine powers has the

power to alter them: But then also the result will be there, it is altered in

the sense that the divine person who alters them transfers the effects unto

himself.

‘’duniyaavee

hisaab kitaab hai, koyee daawaa-e-khudayee naheen"

As in mundane

affairs, treatment of disease is possible but there is no escape from death; similarly

astrology/jyotish is a subject which introduces with the unknown/gaib. But it

is no jaado mantar, it is very much like mundane affairs, not some divine

ordinance. It is a tool for protection for peace of mind ‘’ rooh ki shaanti’’

If the destiny

promises benefices in the channel of stream of fortune and some obstruction is

there. Lalkitab helps in removing that obstruction. But it cannot deliver which

,as comprehended through jyotish, is not promised. Of course if there is some

danger/threat to the native he can be protected with help of Lalkitab;

explained metaphorically; if a lion comes to attack the native, this knowledge

can create a wall for the protection of the native; if the attack from lion

becomes ferocious; the wall will increase it’s height for protection but neither

will it shoot the lion or catch hold of his legs; but with help of divine

grace, the line will yield by fatigue and abandon the idea of attacking the

native. Lalkitab cannot be used to harm others; rather it is a subject which

will be helpful in establishing harmonious relations between inimical

tendencies.Regards

Dear Kulbirji,

Thank you very much for taking the trouble

to list out the history of Lal Kitabh. I am sure many were not aware of it ad

it would have been useful knowledge for many members in the forum.

//The author of these books is Pt. Rup Chand Joshi son of Shri Jyoti

Ram Joshi resident of Village Pharwala, District Jalandhar; Punjab;

Date of birth 18-01-1898; or 10-5-1898; Pt. Ji served in Defense accounts and

retired as Assistant Accounts officer. He was posted at different places in India e.g Lahore,

Dharamshal, Bombay, Madras, Ambala, Shimla. During his service

tenure. He expired on 24-12-1982.//

I understand that. Pt. Joshi the author of this book must have been a

very eminent astrologer of his time although he was serving in the civil defense.

But is there any information on what texts he would have based his

writing’s on? Do you think it is mostly his experiences and researches as

an astrologer that culminated in this book?

Regards and Thanks

Santhosh

Re: Lalkitab; a brief introduction to history

Santhosh Ji;

Lalkitb comprises of 5 books

1. Samudrik Ki Lalkitab Ke Farmaan, published in 1939 AD;

2. Samudrik Ki Lalkitab Ke Armaan, published in 1940 AD:

3. Lalkitab Teesra Hissa published, in 1941 AD:

4. Lalkitab Tarmeemshuda published, in 1942 AD;

5. Ilm-e Samudrik ki buniyad par jyotish ki Lalkitab published in 1952 AD.

The books have photograph of Pt. Sharma Girdhari Lal; resident of Pharwala

depicting him as printer and publisher and the name of Shri Aatma Ram Sharma

resident of Tehsil Noorpur; District Kangra is mentioned as Katib (

calighrapher, composer script-writter).

The books were printed at Jahaazi Press, Lahore

and contact address mentioned is of Calcutta Photo Shop; Amritsar; Calcutta Photo Shop; Dharmshala;

Kangra.

The author of these books is Pt. Rup Chand Joshi son of Shri Jyoti Ram Joshi

resident of Village Pharwala, District Jalandhar; Punjab;

Date of birth 18-01-1898; or 10-5-1898; Pt. Ji served in Defense accounts and

retired as Assistant Accounts officer. He was posted at different places in India e.g Lahore,

Dharamshal, Bombay, Madras, Ambala, Shimla. During his service

tenure. He expired on 24-12-1982.

Pt. Girdhari lal Sharma ji and Pt Rup Chand Joshi ji were first cousins.

These books were written in Urdu script and published in a small number. Over

the years English and Hindi took the center stage, pushing Urdu into oblivion.

Some translations appeared in 1990's in Hindi but had many many mistakes; The

1952 edition's translation caught fancy of every one who laid his eyes on it

and it further let to ignorance about other 4 editions.

Shri Yograj Prabhakar resident of Patiala

took on the task of bringing out the true/exact content as published in the

original form. He had copy of 1952 original edition and was ready to share but

for other 4 parts he had to struggle a lot as the people who possessed the

copies didn't want to share it. Fortunately internet technology came handy and

he was able to establish contact with Shri Rajinder Bhatia living in U.S.A who

is a family friend of Pt ji. Through the help of such contacts and divine grace

Prabhakar ji was able to get hold of all the five original editions and with

the help of Shri Nirmal Ji of Chandigarh, he has uploaded all these books on

internet and thereby available to all free of cost.

Under his guidance Shri Veni Madhav Goswami of Delhi published the exact

transliterations i.e. only the script was changed to devnagri but words

remained same; care was taken that word; line no; page no matched with the

original works. 1939; 1940; 1942 editions have been published by Sagar

publications and the fifth and final edition is scheduled to be released on

13-12-2009. 1941 edition's transliteration has been published by Yograj ji

himself.

Thanks Bhaskar Ji,

You can intervene anytime as may any other

member of the group.

I am actually trying to place LK in

perspective. “telepathy or astral powers??” now this is confusing

me further. Even Mihiracharya said his knowledge flows from masters before him

and not telepathy. Is there some missing piece somewhere are am I missing

something?

My argument is that someone in the 19-20th

century just cannot start writing a book on astrology in such depth without basing

it on any scriptures before him. The fact that is being avidly following in

many circles shows that it has some substance to it and that it is not just imaginations.

Trying to explore further…

Dear Santosh ji,

Sorry for intervening. If I am not mistaken, Shri Joshi ji was not into

astrology or any research as such previous to the Lal Kitab. This

knowledge too was given to him through telepathy or some astral powers .

regards/Bhasar.

Bhaskar Ji; Congratulations; You have reserved your place in annals of lalkitab;while erecting the kundalis for your varshphal; i came across a serious misprint; in the original versions of 1941; 1942 and 1952 editions, regarding the calculation of minute kundali; this misprint remained unnoticed until now and was carried on as such in the transliterations too by both Prabhakar ji and Goswami ji;the kundali printed on page 363 of 1941 edition is misprinted to be for 25th minute; while actually it is for 45th minute;the same misprint was carried on page 89 of 1942 and page 221 of 1952 edition.Thanks a lot,RegardsKulbir. What an amazing coincidence, the day chart for today i.e. 7-12-2009 coincides with the your varashphal chart.Your 49th year started on 28-6-2009; the current period is 6th month from 28-11-2009 to 28-12- 2009. 7-12-2009 is the 10th day of your 6th month.Step1;

place planets in the chart according to running age according to

varshphal sarani of lalkitab. this gives you annual chart. step 2;

place sun in the house no coinciding with the number of month you want

the chart for; and place the other planets with respect to sun as

placed in varshphal kundali.step 3; for daily chart; mars in that

month's chart will represent day one, for day 2; move mars one house

further and monthly kundali's other planets also.This way your annual chart for 49th year that started on 28-6-2009 is;First house -Mars , RahuSecond house- Saturn, Jupiter,Third house- Sun, MercuryEightieth house - Ketu,Eleventh house - Venus,Twelfth house - Moon.For current month chart you are running 6th month of your varshphal; i.e. from 28-11-2009-28-12-2009.so we move sun to 6th house and the monthly chart comes out to beSixth house - Sun, MercuryTwelfth house - KetuSecond house -VenusThird house - MoonFourth house - Mars, Rahu,Fifth house- Saturn, Jupiter.Today i.e. 7-12-2009 is the 10th day of your 6th month;so we move mars in your 6th monthly kundali ten houses;mars reaches first house and planets placed accordinglyFirst house -Mars , Rahu

Second house- saturn, jupiter,

Third house- sun, mercury

eigthth house - ketu,

eleventh house - venus,

twelfth house - moon.Regards

Dear Kulbir ji,

I have checked the Varshaphala Chart and the monthly chart and they are in

Order. Thanks for the same. Thanks also for allowing me the right knowledge of

preparing the monthly chart by taking pains to mention the planetary positions

and Lagna for the same.

Now some queries -

1) What remedial measures must one take to ? Should they be related to the Birth

Chart, or the Natal Chart ?

2) what if the Birth chart remedial measures say something to be done while the

Varshaphala chart mentions to the contrary for that particular year ?

3) Monthly chart what is the basis to study ? I mean how much in details should

we study this ? Is it effective in showing nature of results as native will face

in his Life ? What about the remedial measures related to monthly chart ?

regards,

Bhaskar.
