Dear Members,While Venus is considered to represent women or a wife in a man's chart across boards with many astrologers I was curious to know how Jupiter represents husband in a women's chart unless he is a 7th lord? I am sure the ancient rishi's who wrote the books had a reason for it but I am not sure..Jupiter amongst all other things represents dharma/ guru/ divine blessing/ and children/ which all makes sense since they are interconnected with each other but how exactly is he a husband? A person usually doesn't see their guru as a spouse, or a spouse as a guru.Vidya

Dear Vidya Ji,

Your mail seems to suggest that Jupiter is NOT considered the Karak for Husband my most astrologers? If this is so, it is news to me. If you are looking for logic, then may be you should consider this:

Venus = Shukra (one of the meanings for Shukra is Semen)

Shukracharya, the mythological Guru of the Asuras is a Man

Then how come Venus is the Karaka for Wife (and also accepted across the board by many astrlogers) ?

Now here is an interesting point: The planet whose diety is the Guru of the Asuras is Karak for Wife while the Planet whose diety is the Guru of the Gods is Karak for Husband !!! A bit Chauvinistic don't you think ???

Regards,

-Manoj

Since we are all doing 'jugali_sans-gali!' -- another " Kalei-yugi " angle, if I

may, Manoj_Jee ...!

If we were to take a world-wide poll of custody battles and what not and despite

all the judgements meted out and what not, I wonder what would be the voting on

the questions below...?

1 -- If you were an estranged woman, would you be comfortable sending your child

to live with and be trained by your ex-husband?

2 -- If you were an estranged man, would you be comfortable sending your child

to live with and be trained by your ex-wife?

If I were to express my opinion, perhaps the answer would or 'SHOULD' be: It

depends ...!

Always 'case by case'! Particularly if the lessons were about LIFE and LIVING!

Mythology notwithstanding!
