Guest guest
Dear Members, I have often wondered if we can ever repay our parents for all they have done for us and are still continue to do so. With most people we have to pay them whatever we owe them, but not so with parents. How can we see this astrologically 4th, 9th, 6th house? Right from the moment of giving birth to washing, cleaning, feeding, clothing, teaching, putting us through music & dance lesson, school, college and than giving all their property, savings, and hard earned money throguh sweat as inheritence to children..No one does so much for us like parents.. Is it any wonder the 9th house is father's house and also bagya stahn.. There is really no relationship quite like father and child..No one give us that much inheritance wihtout any hard work and expect nothing in return.. Members view awaited on this topic.. Guest guest
Dear Vidya ji,Why do you think what our parents gave us is something like a loan which needs to be repaid? By choosing to reproduce or to have a child, we opt to owe a debt to the child. It's not vice versa. We are running a relay race and we must carry the torch to the best of our ability to hand it over to the next one in row. Ninth house is not only father and bhagya, it is also our Prarabdh, which is physically handed over to us by our father, and what we, (child/lagna) enjoy or suffer as our destiny!Best wishes Neelam 2009/12/14 Vidya <vidyakmr Ha..Ha.. my children.. Guest guest
Also from personal experience I can say the Joy far outweighs the difficult moments (even in the extreme cases where quantitatively the diffucult moments are larger, qualitatively the Joy is much greater). So, there is nothing to repay since the Parents are not doing us a favour, but fulfilling their responsibility joyously .... that we need to pay forward. Guest guest
This is indeed a very difficult and complex karmic guththi/puzzle that jyotishis (and others) would often run into, once they seriously begin to explore astrology (charts, charts, and more charts!). Most of us ordinary folks who are interested in astrology and the 'beyond' and yet living in a mundane reality by choice or need -- would only be looking at ONE lifetime in an individual's life and often not even completely at that! We can speculate and guess at what came before and where the nativity is headed, beyond the last death and next death (lifetimes) but one should be cautious when we do that. Perhaps astrology is not about adding to our school-bastaa of rationalizations and projections as sadly lot of people, including jyotishis do! " AHA! See you have this mars in <whatever house> that is making you one with such a short-fuse, etc>. The client goes home happy relieved that it was not HE who was losing control over speech or action but this BAD mars that was somehow *making* him behave the way he had been (or She! Just to avoid being called sexist!!). Mars in this hypothetical example was just the hands of the clock! When they did " namastey " with the sun being overhead, most people feel hungry and seek out for lunch! But it was not the CLOCK or the hands of the Clock that were responsible for their hunger! Just a coincidence between micro and macrocosm and the individual that embraces both realities! Sorry for my Bak-Bak! Guest guest
dear Vidya, the cycle keeps repeating more so in Indian families because of the rich cultural heritage. Probably if ur married and having kids u along with ur husband will do the same for ur children. One shud be fortunate to have a reasonably strong 4th and 9th house to acquire such attention from parents. PS: I have not suffixed "Ji" and i am not sure whether to address u as Miss or Mrs. hope u want my addressing u by ur name. good wishes, k.gopu--- On Mon, 12/14/09, Vidya <vidyakmr wrote: Vidya <vidyakmr Repaying our debts!!
