I will try to add that to the headers from now on so that I do not waste anyone's time in reading the message :-) If 5th is the house of progeny (and I say that just to keep the discussion simple, because I do not wish to get into the 3rd from 5th and so on and on which does have some interesting bearing on subsequent children, but please do not treat this as a water-tight theory!) wouldn't they be in the 2nd and 6th? Depends if one is taking the spouse of samdhan (spouse of mother of the 'child' in law of one's child -- too many sequences!) or the father of the child-in-law! Either way, the samdhi sounds like more trouble! But in practice is that the case in most cases where sas-bahu ka ankdaa nahin miltaa hai ;-) EXCEPTIONS NOTWITHSTANDING!!
