In same way every little or unconsequential appearing fact in traditional astrology too does have some bearing somewhere or the other. These navamsha charans are not ordinary and possess great importance and significance, which I will come out with periodically because there are many implications and secrets associated with it, which do not bear mention in books. The innermost techniques are not be wantonly put in public because one will bear the sin of doing so just as there are certain mantras which one must do alone and not allow anyone to hear them, or which must not be recommended for others to also do. Now coming to the point - There are 108 Charans in the mala of the Nakshatras. This can be applied beautifully and effectively in " Prashna " or Horary Astrology. Suppose you are studying a Natal chart and native wishes to know when he will get a job, and you find that he is running Sat-Sat, or Jup-Jup, or Budh-Jup or whichever antardasha which has got a wide span of time to its credit. At such times it is difficult to time the event (Especially if one does not know other techniques, and mostly 90-95% of astrologers do not know location and timing of events), then this data you just presented will come in handy. In above case you may ask the native to give you a number between 1 and 108. Now every number of this figure will represent a particular position in the sky. Suppose he gave you the number 5, then you must check what this corresponds to. This corresponds to the 5th division in Aries. Between 13.20 to 16.40 degrees. The Navamsha for this Charan is Leo. So make a Horary Chart with Leo as Ascendant and let the beginning of the ascendant be 13.20 degrees. Now place the 9 planets in the various Raashis as they are in Gochar at time of judgment as one normally does for Horary Charts. This horary Chart will be full of potential to allow you the answer to the Query of the native.
