Dear All,

There are 2 words 'Tithi' and 'war'........e.g...Shukla

navami.....raviwar,somwar.....

However i got meaning behind Tithi of any particular lunar month .....It

can be used as tool for finding out distance between sun and moon on

daily basis.

can anyone provide such information on war/days??

Dear DeviSingh,

The actual formula of finding about Tithi is itself the distance between the Sun

and the Moon....

In India, the word " Tithi " and its names itself excludes the need for

calculating the distances seperately, as one immediately knows what would be the

distance, when one mentiones the word " Poornima " or " Amavasya " and the other

Tithis so on....

regards/Bhaskar.

Dear Neelam Ji,

Yes Ideally it can be VAAR,but for me currently looking for answer like

it is 'WAR'  once i get out from that it could change my perception to

'VAAR'

--Thanks.......reason is like my poor memory not served word that

time...i do not want to mention 'day' even though i mentioned that for

me both 'day' and 'vaar' are quite different.

Dear Bhaskar Ji,

Thanks for your input.....that are really good share from you

Except Vaar more or less i have found answers for use of system

adopted/Created........Whole system followed was Lunar Astrology by

many older traditions including Sumerian, Arabas, hindu and etc..

This does not means that i am saying Solar Astrology is incorrect that

has different story.

Hora,Yoga,Karan,Lunar Month name,Tithi,use of some special tithi,name

for each savantsar,Nakshatra,Measurment units, without modern

instruments....however all are interesting and logical too....

Day name has something special irrespective of hora i do not know what

that could be.......

Dear devisingh ji,

Every input from the Traditional Astrology is the essence of the Beautiful

roseflower. The one who knows the beauty of the Rose, and its essence knows how

to use it well. The rest may waste it.

The Day name is actually the message sent across to us, who is the Lord of the

day. For instance Sunday or Ravivaar means that :The sun " is the Lord of the

day, and he is going to reign among the other important planets signified by the

day. This in other words in daily behaviour means, that one must not apply for

instance, Oil on Sunday to his body. Or wear a Black shirt. Or on Saturday one

must not commence an auspicious work or project or else it would be delayed or

stretched. These are generally few of the rules to be followed, which most of us

do not know, or those whose ancestors have known, the

descendants have lost knowledge through passage of time.

For predictive astrology, I being a KP astrologer, use the day lord to predict

many important matters in absence of Panchang, Ephemris, Kundli or software or

whatever. For instance once I had been to saharanpur and somebody informed us

after lunch that he has lost his Goldring with a ruby embedded on it. I

immediately told my wife, that he would find the Ring before sunset, which that

person actually did. It was a Sunday and I used that pointer to predict this.

regards,

bhaskar.

Dear Devi Sigh ji, The subject is already discussed in this group many times in detail. Just search the archive with the words "week days" and you will find enough information. Also you can go to the files section and inside the folder named "Sreenadh" you can find a file named "Days of Week.doc". I think this would serve your purpose.
