Today is amavasya and moon is considered inauspicious by some and weak because

of low paksha bala.

Yet once i started my important work purposefully on poona amavasya and the work

was highly succesful.

The point with moon is ,the moon always is of the same size but the strength of

the moon in horoscopy is determined roughly according to its visibilty though it

is only one dimension of strength for the moon.

Similiarly in today eclipse,Sun will be affected for sometime, say 4 hrs

according to various news sources.

Unless somebody tells the fact that today is a solar eclipse ,we will not know

from the chart .At most we will know that today is a amavasya and sun and moon

are in same degree. But this planetary configuration occurs many times a year.

Some questions-

A person who is born at the time of solar eclipse(consider total for theoritical

purposes),is the sun in his chart considered weak?If so,though a rare event ,how

many astrologers remember and include this fact in their prediction?IF no,please

ignore.

For partial eclipses, like the one today, sun will look affected in south india,is

the sun considered weak in birth charts for those who born at that time in SOuth

India?

If so,What about the sun in borth charts which corresponds to the same time when

eclipse is seen in INDiA and not in their country?

How to determine rashis affected because of solar eclipse?

Thanks and best wishes

vishnu
