Guest guest
Dear All, Kambojas came from central russian Kamboja kingdom and were Tantric idol worshipers who adored temples and devoted themselves to the worship of whole lot of deities including Siva, Devi and Snake. They talked a version of Prakrit (a language very similar to Sanskrit). They entered india from central russian (Tajikstan area) through assam as well as kashmir and spread throughout india BOTH through the eastern (mainly eastern) as well as western sea cost. They are the people who spread non-vedic tantric hindu religion and culture in central russia, india, kambodia, indonesia, malesia, srilanka etc (all part of ancient Bharata). I love these people and culture and they are well known for their later-day kingdoms in Orissa and Andhra as well. The following link could be a good starter in knowing more about this people, kingdom and culture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kambojas_in_Indian_literature Love and regards,Sreenadh
