This couple met a 3 weeks back, got engaged, but when the time for fixing the marriage date arrived, the daughters parents have sent a message to the boys side, that they have just showed their Horoscopes to 3 pundits who have given a verdict that " If this boy and girl are married, then it will not be good for both the houses of the families," and they have stopped communicating with the boys family after this. Now the boys family (Relatives to me ) approached me and asking me to check whether actually this is the case. On checking their charts I did not find any reasons for such judgement. Now I request the Learned here to please check whether this match is okay or not please. (Of course ethically the girls family should have checked all this before the meeting of the boy and the girl and not after the engagement has been done, but you know stupidity is also there at large in this world so what to say....) Both the charts do show some disturbance but I wont hesitate in allowing marriage. Please at the moment do not study further , because I do not wish to unnecessarily trouble you or anyone for this.. I have just got the charts checked from one Traditional astrologer in Bikaner (Harsha Maharaj) who is one of the best in India, and he has okayed the match with many technical explanations lasting for 20 minutes on phone. He also uses KP Padhati by the way, and gives references from the ancient texts alongwith page numbers with every breath. We will pass this message tomorrow to the girls parents and then let them decide what they have to... Just informing you and others who may be interested- One of my friends who is very knowledgable in Traditional Transits visited his Guru last week in Jodhpur, and this Guru is an enlightened one and also the maker of a Famous Panchanga. When they were discussing on spirituality somebody arrived with a chart and this Guru asked my friend to make the Bhava Chalit chart and predict. My friend he immediately sat down and prepared the Parashari Bhava Chalit on a piece of paper and gave it to the Guru and he admonished him. Saying " This is not the way to prepare Bhav Chalit. What Jyotish have you learnt. Keep the ascendant degrees as the starting of the house and then add 30 degrees to complete the first house (Since they were doing this roughly and without use of Computer). (My friend had actually taken the asc,degrees and added 15 degrees to either side to make the Bhav Chalit. ) He then begin predicting perfectly to that person who had come to visit them. I doubt whether that Guru knows about KP or heard the term. This shows that the Placidus system of House division may have been in vogue with the Traditional astrologers a thousand years ago, but forgotten and lost in between to the foreigners from whom we borrowed it back once again. God knows whats the truth, but I am happy that a Traditonal astrologer is using KP House Divisions. About matching charts, let me also confide, that I do not depend on Ashta koota or Dasha Koota (south indian) system of matching as it is flawed to a great extent. Sitting in office, I was wondering about the kind of reading that was given so gave it a thought. There is some other meaning too behind those inverted commas, which stares invisibly from behind that word. Because its true that those who are married know about this " happiness " how much is actually. I was wondering if we call this happiness, then what was during the first 6 months of marriage to all those who were. I also do not depend on this matcvhing, and know thats its flawed because all the rules are not given, and neither applied too and all rules do not apply actually for all. For instance Nadi dosha does not apply to all.
