Guest guest
2 reasons for Birthdays separated on separate date 1) In India due to draconian laws, we all know that at time of admissions to schools most of the times money exchanges hands, and a new birth date is created on a stamp paper, to enable one to acquire admission in a school of his choice. This date is mentioned on he school forms, in the Calendar of the boy , in the School reports etc. and the birthday of the boy is celebrated in school on this new date. The parents of the child send everyyear a box of sweets on this date to be distributed in the class room and to the teachers, principals etc. The parents are of course not fools to to send these sweets on the real birthdate to the school. As the child grows up, he continues celebrating his birthday on this false mentioned date, and so do his close friends call him on that date, and when he leaves school he has this falsedate on his school leaving certificate, and then later on in College, and then further on in his PAN Card. This false date and celebration on this date sticks. 2) Many Traditional families in India celebrate their birthdays and their children's on Tithi, which again is a variable as far as English date is concerned. There are many reasons for not celebrating Birthday on the real date, but since I am not into writing a thesis on this I refrain myself from explaining further, the reasons. By the way My Wife celebrates two birthdays in a year. One which they thought was the birthday, and another which I disclosed to them from her Janma Kundli is a month apart. So just chill and do not waste time in speculations.... best wishes, Bhaskar.
