delay/denial, paralysis, tedious work, Spriituality/detachment etc

Ke stands for ascetism/detachment, moksha, pyschic ability/metaphysics

10H stands for fame/honour, career/profession, dharma/life purpose, good

deeds/activities that benefit society

It is said that Sa in 10H means person will have a great career possibly

impacting thousands of people. This can only happen if the career is spiritual -

same with Ke in 10H

Can Sa/Ke in 10H be good for a materialistic career? - like success in job,

business etc

Only reasoning I feel behind Sa/Ke in 10H are:

1. Significations of 10H and Sa/Ke that match - in this case

spirituality/detchment etc

2. Malefic energy welcomed in 10H

1) Saturn is also the Lord of the 11th of gains in the natural Kala

purusha Chart. It can give superb gains at times for a person worthy of

same. Please contradict this argument.

2) Saturn in 10th is natural house for Saturn. But what about the Sun ?

The Sun connected to 10th gives Political powers impacting miilions of

people. The Sun in 10th makes a Doctor helping thousands of patients.

What difference can you envisage , delineate and enumerate between the

results of the Sun in the 10th and the Saturn in the 10th.

dear Bhaskarji,

saturn in the 10th with no connection and the native has a strong

lagna, then the native will lead the masses,he may not come to

power but yet he will have a power over the masses like a person

who acts behind the curtain and yet influencing the ruling power.

I am sharing my thoughts, though u are an expert.

Dear Shri Gopu ji,

Yes Saturn is certainly having strength in the 10th due to being in its

natural house.

Saturn also represents the masses - See in sasa Yoga a person with

Saturn in kendra in its own or exaltation house gives lot of servants

and leadership over a Group of people, village, town, kasba or whatever,

and this means power over the masses. My question to Kiran ji was, what

is better ? The Sun in 10th or the Saturn in 10th to gain access to the

masses ? We shall await her/his reply on same.

Su represents the soul. Su in 10H means soul is connected to the activities of

the 10H - i.e. profession, fame/honour, activities benefiting society etc

Su is a malefic like Sa and the upachaya 10H welcomes malefic energy

How can the individual fail when the soul is connected to 10H significations?

Sa in 10H is better for spiritual significations while Su in 10H is better

otherwise for a general career

10H stands for career/profession, dharma/life purpose, fame/honour etc

9H stands for father/elders/gurus, philosophy/religion/spirituality, travel -

long journeys etc

10H is an artha house while 9H is a dharma house. 9H is more close to dharma

house than 10H.

However what is wrong with 10H being dharma? Is profession/career not the best

way to carry out one's dharma?

Hello All

I am not an astrologer but just trying to learn a bit from the discussions over

here. This post seem quite apt to my son who is struggling in his career. He is

having Sat and Ket in 10 house.

Although the discussion is quite fruitful but I am not able to relate to link it

to my son's horo.

His details are:

DOB : 1 June 1985

POB : Delhi

TOB : 11:00 PM

Sorry if my post seems to be out of discussion topic but I was just trying to

relate the whole discussion to understand my son's career aspect.

10 H has Sun as Karaka. It will no doubt give power but also fall as in case of previous PM Shri Narsimha Rao.

Saturn will give slow rise in comparison.Both aspect the 4th house and therefore inner circle does suffer in the gaze of powerfull Sun or lonely Saturn.

Saturn is for downtrodden masses and Sun is for power.

Dear shri senthil,

In ur friend's case u have said he had failures in buisness though saturn

and kethu in 10th from lagna. His failures in buisness is basically due

to the 7th house lord and he also is the IInd lord ie venus. if he is

weak he cannot be successful in buisness. So he will be more

successful in service if his 6th lord is strong.

saturn being the 11th lord also will give him only beneficial gains.

in the IInd case he has maintaining a vehicle parking stand which once

again is saturn in the 10th house which deals with people and metals

like iron. Of course without knowing the aspects and details of the chart

it will be difficult to attribute only to saturn.

In my mail I have said that saturn in 10th without any connection to

Sun the person will be powerful behind the curtain leading the masses.

Dear shri senthil,

I am not sure abt ur statement "for mesha lagna 10thlord becomes

bahdaka". Here I would like to mention is mesha lagna lord mars

gets its exaltation in makara ruled by saturn and also stars involved

are uttradam, sravanam and avittam. How come the house lord becomes

a badhaka for mesha lagna? Maybe learned members can share their

thoughts on this thread.

I am under the impression that

For Lagna in signs, the Badhaka is ...

Movable (Ar, Cn, Li, Cp) - 11th Lord

Fixed (Ta, Le, Sc, Aq) - 9th lord

Dual (Ge, Vi, Sg, Pi) - 7th lord

Although for Mesha Lagna, 10th Lord & 11th lord are same (Saturn), but terminology does create some confusion.

I am aware that there is another sets of Sign vs badhaka Lords...once provided by Sreenadh-ji.

in 9th house within few degrees - Mars can do wonders

Folks feel that just because a planet lords inauspicious houses, it will give

bad results and vice-versa

Dear Kiran-ji,

For Ta lagna, 9th Lord is Saturn, ....not Mars

9th lord is benefic...but that does not mean it can not create hurdles.

Even father (represented by 9L) can create obstacles for Son if he thinks that

his son is taking a wrong or hasty action. But the obstacle (Badha) will be a

friendly advice / restraint.

This is what I understand....but I may be wrong.

I do find the logic difficult to follow.

Even Mars gets debilitated in Cancer....but it is Yoga-Karaka for Cancer & not a

Badhaka.

Probably we need a detailed discussion on Badhaka concept. Why these are Badhaka &

how the Badha (obstacle) will give result etc.. At least I am yet to undertsand these.

There is no contradiction

9th lord by virtue of only considering factor '9th lord' is one of the most

auspiscious. But there are other factors that may colour this.

Only if we can see effects of each variable separately in isolation can we

understand how multiple variables interact to provide an effect
