~Respected Jai Ji~I remember u discussing Precious stones in

connection with planets. I have a question pertaining to that.

Blue sapphire is considered to be very strong and mysterious

gem.Normally people can't wear it.And its a gem which goes with planet

saturn. Since Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bacchan wore them, they have

touched the peaks of their careers.Is it so?? well, Jokes apart,I

would like to know the truth behind the myths.And also it will to

suit to what kind of planet combination?Can a person with saturn as

lagna lord and in uccha rasi wear it?

Its true that BACHCHANS(Both Junior and Senior)and Aishwarya Rai are

doing great after wearing Sapphires.

Sapphires have always been royal Gems, King Akbar wore them,Great

Singer KL SEHGAL,the Birlas well the list is endless.

Its considered dangerous to wear a Sapphire as this gem is considered

to give results spontaneously and many a times negative results for

people who dont come in this Gem's reign.

Sapphire is mysterious yes, as its Lord is Saturn who itself is

mysterious.

As far is wearing Sapphire goes,there are various possibilities in

charts which can be analysed by experts before suggesting anyone to

wear them.

But I have some experiences about this gem which I should write to you

for satisfying your curiosity--

1. It should never be worn if Saturn is retrogading in chart.

2. Should never be worn when Saturn is conjunct with Sun/Moon.

3. Good for Thula Lagna ,Vrishabh lagna natives.

4. Good for Kumbh Lagna not so good for Makar lagna.

1stly you should not know that gems only intensify the power and effect

of respective planets.

Uchcha graha requires no stones however weak it may be as exalted

planets cant be intensify more by wearing gems.And sometimes an Uchca

graha is so powerful that instead of intensifying its power by wearing

gems we should pacify it .

Saturn is Uchcha as Lagnesh in 10th house in Makar lagna now here its

one sign kumbh is in 2nd house,on a very narrow platform this would

mean good parental property,money,health,self made profession etc.

In Kumbh Lagna it would be in 9th house exalted,here it would imply

that native is spendthrift,makes his money by selling bedroom

articles,has made his own destiny etc.

This was a simple answer, wait for a detailed article on GEMSTONES.

Dear Priya ji,

Nishant ji already has given a detailed account of the gems and it is collectible. There is just one thing which I am adding to it.

Before wearing/recommending gem that particular planet has to be analysed on the micro levels and also taking in account the various dispositorship it is under influence of. This is very important. If you have any further query you are more than welcome.

~Dear Nishant ji and Jai Ji~

Nishant ji as I have mentioned earlier too,I like the zest and the

prompt spirit in ur posts.Here also that reflects.The post on Lk

Vaastu is very informative, and the posting on inside placing of the

objects according to natives planets will be more useful,which I hope

will come in the near future.

~~I was (am) infact not clear on the point,that whether the gems

INTENSIFY the Power of the planets, or they bring into HARMONY the

planet and the native.

~~Sani or Saturn represents longevity, discipline, authority,

ambition,leadership, honesty, perfection, humility, elders, denial,

delays,misery, adversity, accidents, conservatism and dutifulness.

It's role is often symbolized as a servant. It's influence is often

seen as restrictive or obstructive yet its influence also seeks to

bring balance.

~~It's influences may be HARMONISED by the blue sapphire.

~~If we study the benefits given by blue sapphire,it counteracts

enviousness from others and removes the evil eye. It protects from

dangers and mental unrest. It alleviates long-term misfortune .These r

just few to be quoted amongst a long list.

~~So do we have to infer that if a native has saturn as

lagnesh,hypothetically, placed in 9th in libra sign, saturn is going

to give all the above said benefits and the influence on the native is

going to be totally non restricted and unobstructed and POSITIVE,

being strong and exalted in uccha Rasi, and blue sapphire, and all

its benefits can be derived only if one has poorly placed saturn,and

fulfilling many, many conditions like Jai ji has said, taking into

account the various dispositors of the planet and their respective

influences.

~~ Do we presume that if a planet is exalted and is positioned in

uccha rasi, it is in harmony with the native,and no further effort is

Dear Priya ji, Jai ji and Nishant ji,

Here is another perspective on Saturn and Sapphire:

According to System's approach propounded by Prof. V. K. Chaoudhary

ji, Saturn rules Capricorn and Aquarius, but Aquarius is considered

the 'Mool Trikon' house of Saturn. This means that Aquarius is

considered the MAIN house of Saturn.

Houses, 6th, 8th and 12th are considered the evil houses.

6th: House of dispures, disease and debts etc

8th: Death or death like suffering and defeat etc.

12th: Losses, hospitalization etc

Whenever a planet's mool trikon falls in one of these three houses,

that planet is considered evil for that nativity. For example, in this

case, if Aquarius falls in 6th (Virgo Lagna), Saturn would become a

Karaka for disputes, debts and diseases. Likewise, if Aquarius falls

in 8th (Cancer Lagna), Saturn would be considered the Most malefic

planet for that chart and Karaka for death or death like suffering.

Similarly, for Pisces, Aquarius falls in 12th house and hence Saturn

becomes Karaka for Losses, imprisonment and hospitalization etc.

For the above mentioned three Lagnas: Virgo, Cancer and Pisces,

strengthening Saturn by wearing Sapphire would be malefic. [Aquarius

in 6th, 8th or 12th houses]

Dear Iqbal Ji,

When I say 'Lagna', I mean the Sun lagna. Moon lagna is generally

called 'Rashi'.

For Vrishab (Taurus) lagna, as per the SA, there are three malefics

(other than Rahu and Ketu the natural malefics):

1) Venus, whose Mooltrikon (MT), Libra falls in the 6th house.

2) Jupiter, whose MT Saggitarius falls in 8th house.

3) Mars, whose MT, Aries falls in the 12th house.

BTW, Jupiter is the most malefic planet for taurus, as its MT falls

in 8th house.

So, I wouldn't advise the native to wear Pukhraj (Yellow sapphire),

Heera (Diamond) or Moonga (Coral) in general... Specific needs would

depend upon the chart details.

In general, Blue Sapphire (Neelam) would be good for this nativity

(Taurus) but before buying and wearing one, the individual chart

would have to be considered in full (placement of planets etc.)

Other gemstones that I think would be useful for taurians:

1) Ruby (Most beneficial) - for Sun, lord of 4th.

2) Panna (Emerald)

3) Pearl.

Dear Anshev Ji,

Thanks for your feedback. Based on Vrishab (Taurus) lagna, wouldn't diamond be useful for the native, as it is lord of Vrishab? If Venus falls in its own Mooltrikona (Libra 6th house) under this configuration, wouldn't diamond elevate the person, most prominently during the Venus Mahadasha?

Ur perspective also confirms my belief that Blue sapphire is used to

harmonise the effect of saturn.Aquarius being the main house of the

saturn, if falls in benefic houses,will be supported by the BLUE

SAPPHIRE.Kindly, will some expert comment on it!!
