Guest guest
Dear Forum, Hope all of you are fine. I am new to this group and a beginner in Lal-kitab. I am a student of KP and System's Approach (SA) and do learn more on question astrology and time charts analysed by both KP and SA. Recently I have seen few episodes of Dr. G. D. Vashishtha on Star News. I searched a book which is there with me since 1997 but I never read that book probably due to the fact that I started with astrology in serious way in 1997 only and subject of Lal-kitab was much advance for me. Now I have read that book but, that book by Mr. D.P. Saxena seems to be more for the students who have already developed a base. I also saw a book by Mr.Jain at a local book-store but found that it is devoid of adequate number of illustrations. I want to learn this vidya of Lal-kitab. Can you please suggest me a book which could be good for the beginner like me and it must be having good illustrations to get into the subject? Please guide. with regards, Anurodh
Guest guest
Dear Anurodh ji, I guess you are the same Anurodh Kumar from Lucknow which used to participate in forum </>. If yes, we miss you there. Anyways, coming to the question, there are strong differences in Lal Kitab world and KP (or even SA) world. Not many Lal Kitab astrologers understand Lal Kitab in details, so community itself is in learning stage. Coming back to your question, I believe, for a serious student of Lal Kitab both the mentioned books are not good. As you know that originally Lal Kitab was written in five editions which are called 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942 and 1952 editions. Originally it is written in Nastaliq (Urdu) script which is difficult to read now-a-days. Transliteration of first four editions are already done and can be bought from the market. These four books are the only books that don't create any confusion and give the taste of real Lal Kitab. Transliteration of 1952 edition of Lal Kitab is scheduled to be released on 13th December and I would suggest to wait for that. I have documented my recommended approach for learning Lal Kitab, which books to read, where to get that etc. at http://www.lalkitab.in/. You will get quite a bit of information. You should also read old archive of this forum to understand analysis process using LK system. Guest guest
Dear Punit ji, It has come to me as a pleasant surprise that you still remember me even after a gap of around 6-7 years. Yes, I am the same Anurodh from Lucknow. Got busy with my job and now days I am working at Patna. I understand very well that Lal Kitab is a different school of Astrology. I have been fasinated with the feature that with the help of remedies, desired house can be stimulated. Though lot of things have come to my mind taking into account the Karma account of a soul, but, I think it is not the time to comment on all such aspects till I learn enough to analyse. So kindly suggest, from where should I start with this school of astrology? Should I just learn the basics first like artificial planets, planets cycles, friendship and enemity of planets etc. Please suggest, regards, Anurodh On 11/27/09, Punit Pandey <punitp wrote: > > Dear Anurodh ji, > > I guess you are the same Anurodh Kumar from Lucknow which used to > participate in forum </ > >. > If yes, we miss you there. > > Anyways, coming to the question, there are strong differences in Lal Kitab > world and KP (or even SA) world. Guest guest
Dear Anurodh ji, Lal Kitab is generally divided into two major portions - grammar, and result of planets in various houses. One should be very thorough with the grammar for predictive as well as remedial application of Lal Kitab. All the points that you have mentioned like artificial planets, planetary friendship etc. are part of grammar. As I mentioned earlier, start with Hindi transliteration of any edition of Lal Kitab. Transliteration of 1942 edition should be a good starting point. As transliteration of 1952 edition is going to be available on 13th December, that should be the best book to start with. Language of 1952 edition is comparatively easier to understand than the language of 1942 edition. If you can not wait till 13th December, I would suggest you to buy " Arun Samhita - 1952 edition " it is also Hindi transliteration of 1952 edition of Lal Kitab. If you want to start on a little lighter note, I would suggest Sumat Prasad Kalka's book. Anyways, to answer your question, yes, you should start with grammar first and then slowly move to next level.
