Dear Yas,

 

[ 1 ] Count all the members of your extended family. Extended family

includes the family of your uncles also. Married sisters and

daughters are not to be counted in. Once you have got the count, get

some token subscription from them to meet the expanses of the two

upaya you have to do. In case some one refuses to give his share,

you should put his share from your pocket. Of the money thus

collected you have to do this upaya.

 

Buy kaudis { small sea shells } which should be yellowish in colour

equal to the number of members counted above. Burn these kaudis on

kachcha koyala { wood charcoal } in an open earthen pot, at the

bank of a river close to the water. When the kaudis turn to ashes,

throw the ash into the river and later throw the pot also into the

river. Make sure while you are burning the kaudis , no one should

cross between the water and the place where the kaudis are being

burnt. That means burn the kaudis close to the water.

 

[ 2 ] Get a piece of Ashok tree root and keep it at the pooja

sthan. There are two varieties of Ashok tree. One with drooping

branches and doesn't grow into a big tree, and the other which grows

into a huge shady tree with wide spreading branches. You should get

the root of the one that grows into a huge shady tree.
