Guest guest
Respected Gurujan and Learned Members, I have just joined the group,I have little knowledge of vedic astrology but I have just started learning methods of lalkitab. I have some doubts, I request to gurujan and learned members to kindly clear these doubts. It is advised in lal kitab that 'one should not donate the things related to exalted planets'. I have libra ascendant and the position of planets are- Mars- 2nd house (scorpio) Rahu and Venus-6th house (pisces) Saturn-7th house (aries) Mer and Sun-8th house (taurus) Moon,Jup and Ketu-12th house (virgo) As per vedic astrology my Venus is exalted and Saturn is debilitated but according to method used in lalkitab my Venus is debilitated and Sarurn is exalted. In this case what should I do ? Should I donate the things related to Venus? or Saturn? Again it is written in lalkitab that persons whose eighth house of chart is occupied by sun should not donate the things during morning or evening hours, then what should be the best time for donation? My last question, applying saffron on forehead is a remedy to propitiate jupiter,is it general purpose remedy or specific to chart? Kind Regards Sunil

Guest guest
Dear Devika Ji, I have read only 'Horoscope Reading Made Easy' and 'Lalkitab' by U.C.Mahajan (Pustak Mahal,Delhi). But the standard books covering whole topics are 'Lalkitab Translated' by Goswami and Vashishth (Sagar Publication,Delhi)or Arun Samhita (in hindi). To buy this book you can contact directly to Sagar Publication,72 Janpath,Ved Mansions,New Delhi-110001. You can find some essence on this site http://sutradhari.com/lalkitab.htm I am regular reader of 'Star Teller'.So I got some topics from there. I hope this will help. Guest guest
Dear Devika Dhillon: I advise all the new members not to go to the remedies portion now. remedies is the final part of the lal kitab. Lalkitaab forbade any one to prescribe remedies before learning the Vyakaran (Grammar). As I feel, anyone who violate the above rule may invite reaction of wrong remedy as in case of medicine Nirmal ======== At 2004-12-11, 01:20:01 you wrote: ========Dear Sunil, I am also new to Lal Kitab. Guest guest
I have read with interest this thread. U know - in Punjab they say that tantriks suffer deformities or worse as their karamphal - since they are interfering with the divine purpose. Abroad, there is a strong movement of Paganism and magick - and they have a three-fold law. If you willfully try to harm someone, the harm comes back to you in a multiple of three-times when u are particularly vulnerable or going through a bad patch. Now that is something I agree with - one can not release negative energies without suffering the consequences. I have studied the Lal Kitab - the remedies are for good - not for evil at all. When the intention to harm someone is totally absent, I do not see how prescribing remedies (which are basically simple general remedies like watering a badh tree or wearing kesar tilak) can be harmful. It is harming none - and no one is trying to plot the downfall of someone else. Moreover, if the birthchart is studied and the remedies are prescribed as per the varshphal .... the astrologer who is prescribing has the intention of doing good .... how can evil occur? The Universal Divine is intelligent and caring - not vengeful and punishing - I am sure the intent will be clear to the Divine Energy. If it is in the karma of the person to be benefitted - he/she will be. If not - that is also the will of the Almighty. I am not advocating irresponsibility - but am also saying that we should not as a group invest too much mystery and danger into the book which has written the remedies in a simple and clear manner. Guest guest
Ritu ji, I dont think you understood the context in which that discussion was started. Little knowledge is dangerous than no knowledge at all. That was the reason Mr. Bhardwaj told newbies not to go to remedies portion of the book and start prescribing remedies. Though the intention of the person may be to help others but in doing so he may cause the benefic planets to go malefic. If you have read the Lal Kitab then you must understand that it is not easy to figure which planet is malefic or benefic at a given time, so just looking at one planet that you might think is malefic and prescribe the remedy for that planet is not the right approach. I am sure the experts will agree with me. Ofcourse the LalKitab remedies are for good.. but ..you just can't do all the remedies that are written in the book and say you can never be harmed.. thats wrong. I hope I am not hurting your feelings in any way. Just wanted to make it clear that you can harm some one by prescribing remedies with little knowledge. Better leave it to the experts. Guest guest
I repeat Gullu ji, that I am not advocating irresponsibility at any stage - but at the same time feel that unnecessary mystery and danger should not be invested into this divine knowledge so that it becomes the property of a few instead of benefitting many. By the way - I am also a student, and do not presume to be a master and even in day to day life, to prescribe remedies is the work of a qualified doctor and not a medical student. Guest guest
Dear Members, Your anguish is right to the extent that the brilliant students have always tendency to stay a step forward to what they study. It is a good sign of developement. But I feel it is better to preserve our energy to learn the basic Grammar of the book. I wish that we may stop discussing this matter for time being and stay on the topics given.
