As such, there is no question of being ashamed of our ancestors, since they worked with the limited means that were at their disposal then! I have repeated it hundreds of times that my maternal grandfather made corect predictions from horoscopes made from Grahalaghava--the most monstrous astronomical work! AND I AM PROUD OF THE FACT THAT I WAS BORN IN THAT FAMILY SINCE I INHERITED YOGAVASISHTHA MAHARAMAYANA FROM HIM! Of coure, if my grnadpa had been alive today, I would definitely have had a shastrartha with him regarding the astronomical principles of the Grahalaghava, and proved him wrong! BUT LET ME REPEAT IT AGAIN FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME THAT THAT WOULD NOT MEAN MY BEING ASHAMED OF MY ANCESTORS! In fact, I learnt using Vijayeshwara Panchang/Jantri in Sharada script also from my grandpa and got interested in astrology through that! And on hte basis of my study in order to improve my jyotisha knowledge, I also know it today that there are no predictive gimmicks in the Vedas! But then how does that mean/prove that I have no respect from my ancestors? Or do you mean to say that I must close my eyes towards any improvements in any science and cling to what my gandpa had said regarding Moon missions and other such atempts---that we can never visit " chandraloka " with the " manavashareera " ! I MAY CONCLUDE THAT, ON THE OTHER HAND, IT IS THOSE PEOPLE WHO, BECAUSE OF THEIR ULTERIOR MOTIVES, ATTRIBUTE PREDICTIVE ABRACADABRA TO OUR VEDIC SEERS WHO ARE REALLY SHOWING THE GREATEST DIESRESPECT FOR THE SEERS.
