Dear Mr.R.Krishnan,

Thank you for your response. You have misunderstood what I said. The word SAASTRA is from the root word SAAS meaning to command. The word Saastra means Science or Branch of Knowledge.Ofcourse, as you say Science is based on experimentation and verification but only by the concerned scientist and a group of scientists to whom the concerned scientist proves. But, not to the general public who blindly believes whatever is written and thaught to them merely based on logic.Even in the future the students whi study the proved discoveries by scientists are thaught the axiums wich are not questioned by them except by few brainy students and the subject of science is taught to them through logic. For example.according to Vedas the Earth and all the other 7 planets( Pluto

is not considered as a planet by the Vedas and allied literature which is still a matter of contervarcy in modern terrestial science till date) revolve arround the Sun with the Sun as the centre. And the first scientist among the western world to find this truth was Gallileo Gallilei and untill then the western world believed including the so called scientists believed that Earth is the centre of the solar system and all heavenly bodies including the Sun revolved arround the earth and the earth was static. When Gallileo Gallilei proved this is wrong and put forword his new theory the then Vatican Curch , which was very powerful called him and accepted his new theory but threatended him if he reveals his new theory to the public his head will be choppedoff. And Gallileo wile returning from the Church near the Bell of the Church said to himself 'STILL IT MOVES' meaning the earth still revolves arround the Sun.The Bible was based on the then European Science

propounded by the ancient Greeks and Romans and was dogmatic and the then school children were thaught to blindly obey it.Even today there are many blunders in modern terrestial science which are thaught as axiums to students. So, the students are are taught to blindly believe whatever is generally considered to be proved science without any espec ially axiums which is nothing but blind belief. And very few brainy students question these. For example the Big bang theory today is blindly accepted as proved science but which clearly lacks direction. The theory of Multiverse is in the right direction but is not accepted. This is only one of the examples of blunder to pointout in current day modern science. And for your information I was clear that the word VEDA means FIRST HAND SELFACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE' and not second or Nth hand knowledge. One should KNOW one self through severe Tapas andnot accept blindly believe the Vedas since this is the age

of Kali.

And in future there is every chance that Vedas will be interpolated like Puranas and Ithihaasaas. And those who are unable to know themself have to approach the proper Aacharya to learn. So I am clear that one should know oneself through severe tapas. But modern science is based on belief b ased on mere logic.Vedas are beyond logic and logic is based on belief.I hope I am clear now on science.

Yours sincerly,

B.C.VENKATAKRISHNAN.

"lalikri" <lalikribcvk71Sent: Sunday, May 31, 2009 2:18:26 AMScience & beliefDear Mr. Venkatakrishnan,I beg to differ from your views regarding Science. If at all the Science (exact sciences) is not based on belielf but on experimentation and verification. This constitutes the essential body of scienrific discoveries. There may be some errors but these are rectified and accepted without any protests. It is true that science can not explain everything but to say that science is just belief is far from truth. This has nothing to do with commenting or diminishing the Vedas. Let us not confuse issues. One can discuss these two branches without crossreference. Even in Vedic

period when the celestial objects were observed and studied, the Seers concluded after long and teedious studies. They never threw across ideas asking people, to bellieve.R.Krishnan-----E-mail d'origine-----De : venkata krishnan <bcvk71A : Dileepan; govindlala; BCVENKATAKRISHNANNewsListgroup <bcvenkatakrishnannewslist >; Thirunarayanan K.Raghavan <kkthiru; Pavitra Ramanujam <pavitrar; Eswaran R.K. <eswaran_ar; Rangarajan.S. <s.rangarajan; Reena SAI <sunnyami_2000; ronnie <ronnie68ang; Ravi Prakash Arya <vedicscience; siva parama <siva_parama2000; Julie <jcam68; Daniel Salas <admin; Daniel <thegreeenforest; VFA members group

Dear Mr.Parthasarathi Dileepan,

Well said.Religion is a branch of politics and has nothing to do with BRAHMAN.One should know oneself not blindy believe.Evem modern science is based on Blind belief which is also a religion.People blindly accept whatever moder n scientists say without selfexperience with random sample experiment.Mathematics alone true these which will prove true or false externally.Vedas are not religious books. The Ancient Rshis did severe Tapas , self experience selfrealised and handed them to us till date.Vedas should not be written or read itis AVAIDAKAM, meaning Against the Vedas.Vedas must be chanted heard and learnt. And even Vedas should not be blindly

believed one has to perform severe Tapas , self experience and self realised only then accepted.Vedas are not Secondhand or Nth hand Knowledge but the very word Veda means Firsthand Selfacquired Knowledge. Those who dont have that capacity should approach a proper Aachaarya and get the convincing explanation. And more so must approach a true Aachaarya and get the proper guidance. If you have any doubts ask me.I will clarify then as far as I know.

Parthasarati Dileepan <DileepangovindlalaCc: bcvk71Sent: Saturday, May 30, 2009 7:04:05 PMRe: Re: Lokakshemam from HomasDear Shri Muralidharan:By life after death and before birth I was referring to karma and moksham. I don’t want to challenge these claims as these are purely faith based and the proponents do not seek scientific respectability

However, when claims of material benefit are made, and/or scientific respectability is sought with shoddy research published in motivated journals, then, these charlatans must be challenged and held to account. When it comes to religious delusions, such as reincarnation, it is indeed unfortunate that there are way too many simple-minded people sheepishly following them just because they are handed down through generations over millennia. Due to years of rote learning some of these people have the capacity to study these ideas as though they were worth the time and effort. For all their efforts they can only get these studies published in journals that cannot muster any scientific respectability. The less time we spend on these useless endeavors, the better it is. It is interesting to note that this weakness to cling to delusions is common among all religious peoples. They all have their own research, their own

journals, and their own claims of scientific proof. The delusions differ, of course, but they all have their own delusions nevertheless. For example, Christians believe Jesus Christ di ed for the original sin men are born with that flow from Adam’s disobedience. They further believe that Jesus rose from the dead and other such nonsense. Muslims have their own chest full of delusions and so do the people of Jewish faith. Even religions born out of healthy skepticism such as Buddhism fell into the trap of superstitions soon after Buddha’s death. Thus, the ponds of delusions differ from religion to religion, but all religions force their people to drink from their respective ponds and claim that their pond is the real thing and all other ponds are delusions. They are of course right about all other ponds; all they need to do is to go one pond further and admit that their pond is no different either. All

the ponds are filled with delusions. The sooner humanity realizes this and rejects all religions in favor of universal love, dignity, and justice, for all -- not in expectation of some cushy life in swarga after death, but because that is the right way to live -- the better our life experiences will be, and the better this world will be. Lokakshema will indeed result that no amount of Homas, Yagnas, and Havans can ever produce.-- Dileepan
