I was surprised and even dismayed to see my own extensive quotes in that work from all the Puranas viz. the Bhagawata (known as the fifth Veda!), the Vishnu Purana, the Shiva Purana, the Kurma Purana, Linga Purana, Devi Purana etc. etc. apart from Shatpatha Brahmana, the Vedas, the Manusmriti etc. etc. Whereever there is any mention of any rashi in the Puranas etc. or wherever the word Mesha, Vrisha etc. rashi has been used by any commentator on Shatapatha Brahmana etc. etc., there is not even a single reference, even by mistake, to any so called nirayana Rashichakra. It appears that in fact the Pauranic rishis never even thought of any nirayana curse! Some of the members of this forum like Shri Darshaneya Lokesh, Shri Deshmukh, or Shri Gopal Geol of your own group, who have seen that work, will confirm the same. What pains me to see is that " Vedic astrologers " , who claim to be propagting and saving Hindu dharma, are fighting like Kilkenny cats to prove the superiority of one ayanamsha over the otehr, but they are blissfully unaware of the real Pauranic and sidhantic Rashichakra, which is Sayana! Owners-cum-moderators of Vedic-astrology forums or ancient-jyotisha forums or om-namah-shivaya-forum etc. etc. are working unknowingly and unwittingly like paid agents of some overseas Vamadevas to propagate an anti-Vedic and even anti-Pauranic Lahiri or Ramana or Muladhara etc. niradhar nirayaa rashichakra, when till date they have not been able to quote even a single mantra from any purana or sidhanta that talks of so called nirayana Rashichakra! I must repeat it here for the umpteenth time that there are no Mesha, Vrisha etc. Rashis in the Vedas or the Vedanga Jyotsiha, but only Madhu, Madhav etc. months and nakshatrs, though there are Rashsis in the Puranas times without number, but all of them are so called Sayana. That means that any Lahiri or Ramana or Muladhara etc. Makar Sankranti or Karkata Sankranti etc. that is being celebrated is a farce and travesty of the Hindu dharma. You will get some idea about the same from 1999b.doc in the files section. Obviously, we do not need enemies to ruin our dharma so long as we have Lahiri-wala and Muladhara-wala and Ramana-wala etc. " Vedic astrologers " around.
