Shri Hari Malla-ji.

Namastey!

<Happy Vijaya Dasami 2066, on Bhadra 14; August 30,2009>

Even nirayananawalas are celebrating Vijaya Dashmi this year on September 28!

Your celebrating it on August 30 must therefore be " double nirayana " , since

nirayana festivals are usually one month ahead of Sayana festivals, whereas

yours appear to be one month behind Sayana and nirayana, both!

As such, three cheers for Hari Malla-calendar, which is neither nirayana nor

sayayan least of all Vedic olr Pauranic!

It is futile to discuss any other astronomical or sidhantic point with you since

you have got an infection from some " parokshya Professors " to interpret

everything and anything the way you want to!

Dhanyavad.

> Namaskar! The logic is simple. In the purnimanta system, the Kojagrat purnima

is the equinoctical purnima. At present Ashwin purnima is said to be the Kojagrat

purnima. But Ashwin purnima does not touch the preesnt tropical equinox, during

its fluctuation, but Bhadra purnima does go forward and backward of Ashwin 7th,

the equinoctical date or september 22-23. Thus the present Bhadra purnima

becomes the undoubted equinoctical purnima and thus the Kajagrat purnima too.

> There is no change of prevalent system here.Only the renaming of Bhadra

purnima as Ashwin purnma to keep the dharma shastraas intact since dharma

shastras says, Ashwin purnima is the equinoctical purnima and the start of

Kartik snana from it. Thus we only call the Bhadra purnima as the Ashwin

purnima. Since the lunar month shift one month for the above reason,in a

coordianted fashion, we also shift the solar months. This is required in our soli

lunar system where the sun and the moon are coordinated.

> In the Amanta system,Kartik sukla pratidpada( overdhan puja, or the start of

Ram rajya) is said to be the equinoctical date. This is also shifted by one

month backward as it does not touch the equinox, whereas the present Aswin sukla

partipada, which touches the equinox becomes the equinoctical pratipada as it

goes both backward and froward from the equinoctical date of September 22- 23

during its fluctuation. Please refer to the drawing 'Scientific basis of calendar

reform' in the file section of parvasuhar forum.

> The underlying principle or theory behind it is, do not change any of the

present system or formula, but only change the numerical values in the formulas

as required, so we do not disturb the superb vedic system that we already have,

which is to guide the whole world in the future for world peace.A guideline

which will guide all future calendar reforms in the world, including the

Gregorian calendar, of which the modern conscious Christians are not fully

satisfied.

> Thus my request to shri Kaulji, to realise the suberb calendar we already

have, and not to meddle with our system, with the help of a lesser developed

calendar which is the Gregorian calendar, inspite of Shri BK Dixit's praise for

it.thank you,
