Guest guest
Dear friends, Jai Shri Ram! Below is the news item of Deccan Chronicle of April 15, 2010, from http://www.deccanchronicle.com/national/country%E2%80%99s-gslv-launch-today-344 Anybody who has extraordinary faith in “Vedic astrology” must read it carefully and learn something from the same! If the Engineers/scientists at ISRO had relied more on their acumen than on the “good advice” of “Vedic astrologers”, they would certainly have not met with such dismal results! It may be worthwhile to enumerate here some of the most “heartening” results of relying on “Vedic astrology”: The General Elections were advanced by several months by the NDA government in 2004 on the advice of “Vedic astrologers”. As everybody must be aware, the then Minister of Human Resources Development, who was a retired Professor of Physics from Allahabad University, was actually more a Minister for “Vedic astrology”. Even on the day of the declaration of results of 2004 General Elections, all the papers had gone to town with headlines, “Come what may, Vajpayee will be the PM”. The rest is history, since poor A B Vajpayeeji has been bedridden ever since, and has not been able to overcome the shock of the “good results of heeding the sane (sic!) advice of Vedic astrologers”. The “Minister of astrology” lost his seat from Allahabad---in spite of his best Dasha-bhukti and gochara, on the strength of which he had advised the advancing of Elections! Then in the neighbouring country the crown prince assassinated his parents, the then king and queen, only because “Vedic astrologers” had advised them that they must not allow the crown prince to marry his sweet-heart since their birth charts did not match! Obviously, those “Vedic astrologers” must have read the birth-charts too upside down just as they read the dharmashastras upside down! i.e. instead of advising that if the crown-prince was not allowed to marry his sweet heart, the consequences would be disastrous for everybody they advised that he should not be allowed to marry her! In an indirect manner, “Vedic astrologers” were thus able to decimate the only Hindu kingdom around in the whole of the world! No wonder, they are hell-bent on ruining our dharma by making us celebrate all our festivals and muhurtas as per Lahiri or Ramana etc. shastras instead of the Vedas or the Puranas---nay even the Siddhantas! That is why I keep on repeating, “we do not enemies to ruin our dharma so long as we have our friendly ‘Vedic astrologers’ around to do so”! Jai Shri Ram! A K Kaul ***** ****** ******* ******* ****** ****** Chennai, April 14: The scientists of the Isro seemed to have chosen an astrologically auspicious time for the launch of the country’s first indigenous GeoSynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle on Thursday. Rahu, Gulika and Yama Kandaka, the three inauspicious phases of the day, will be over by 3 pm and the GSLV will blast off from the Satish Dhavan Space Centre in Sriharikota, the country’s space port, at 4.27 pm. Scientists of the Liquid Propulsion System Centre who developed the cryogenic engine are confident about the success of the mission but apparently they don’t want to take chances with other cosmic forces either. Hence the astrological precautions. “The ground test of the cryogenic state was successful and there is no reason to have any doubt about the success of the flight,’ said Mr Asir Packiaraj of the LPSC. The GSLV-3D will carry with it GSAT-4, a communication satellite weighing 2,220 Kg. “It will put the satellite into the Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit which is 35, 975 km away from the earth,” said the Isro spokesman, Mr S. Satish. “The satellite will be ejected into the orbit exactly 1,022 seconds after the launch.” Space scientists all over the world will be closely monitoring the launch of GSLV-D3 because of the Indian built cryogenic engine. “This cryogenic engine that uses hydrogen and oxygen as fuel was fully developed by Indian scientists,” said Mr Satish. ****** ****** ****** ***** ****** *****
