Due to this the an easy solution to derive results would be to consider the general advice- Yuthya drishi phalam vachyam Drishtrya Yuti phalam tatha [For Yuti (conjunction) tell the results for Drishti (aspect) also, and for Drishti (aspect) tell the results for Yuti (conjunction) also] Application of this sloka makes the derivation of results easier. Now let us look at the combinations that can cause Unmada (Madness; psychic problem) as given by Prasnamarga (Ch. 12, sloka 31, 32). In that sloka 8 combinations are given that can indicate madness. 1) While Ju in Lagna if Sa is in 7th it indicates madness. 2) While Ju in Lagna if Ma is in 7th it indicates madness. 3) While Sa is in Lagna, if Ma is in any of 7-5-9 houses the combination indicates madness 4) If combust Mo or Me is in Lagna the combination indicates madness. 5) If Weak Mo or Sa in 12th the combination indicates madness. 6) If weak Mo with a malefic is placed in any of the houses 1-8-5-9 then the combination indicates madness 7) If Mandi with a malefic is placed in 7th the combination indicates madness. 8) If Me is placed in any of the houses 3-6-8-12 the combination indicates madness. Apart from there other combinations as well that can indicate madness- 9) If Ju placed in 5th is afflicted by strong malifics the combination indicates madness. Presence of more than one of these combination in the natal chart indicate that the native will become mad in the corresponding Dasa-Antara indicated by the planet causing madness. With this knowledge, let us look at the above horoscope and see whether the horoscope indicates madness. 1) Combination – 1: Consider the same from Moon Lagna (Libra). Ju is in Moon Lagna in Libra satisfying the first condition given for the above combination. Neither Ma is not in 7th from Libra. But Ma aspects 7th with its special aspect on 8th. Further a malefic Su is present in 7th as well. Thus the conditions put forward by the sloka is met, even though not based on Yuti but partially based on aspect. This is 2nd yoga indicating Madness in the above horoscope. 2) Combination no –2 In the above horoscope, Ju in not in Lagna but aspect Lagna with its special aspect on 9th. Thus it is equivalent to Ju in Lagna. Ma is not present in 7th but Ma aspects 7th with its special aspect on 4th. This is equivalent to Ma in 7th. Thus the conditions put forward by the sloka is met, even though not based on Yuti but based on aspect. Thus this combination indicates madness in the above horoscope. 3) Combination –3 Sa is not in Lagna, but Lagna is aspected by Sa, which can be treated as equivalent to Sa in Lagna. Thus half of the condition is fulfilled. Ma is not in 7-5-9. But the navamsa of Ma falls in the 9th house from Lagna. Thus the combination can be considered as fulfilled. This is another combination indicating madness in the above horoscope. 4) Combination – 5: Consider this combination from Moon Lagna (Libra) Weak Sa (Saturn not aspected by Me or Ju, with not much strength due to placement) is placed in 12th from Moon Lagna. Thus the combination is fulfilled. Thus it indicates madness. 5) Combination –6 Mo is placed in 5th as required by the sloka. But the Moon is not weak (having Pakshabala). But note that Moon is held between the strong malifics Ma-Sa in 12th from Libra, and Ke in 3rd from Libra. Further the 2nd house from Moon is aspected by Sa in 12th making this Papamadyasthiti (placed between malifics) condition stronger. Note that especially for significators (Moon is the significator of mind) hemmed between malifics is considered as destructive, which is true in this case. This has got a double impact since Ju (Significator of intelligence, and significator of 5th house) is also placed with Mo. Any affliction that may happen to Moon is going to cause double impact in this situation. Thus it should be considered that the combination indicated by the sloka as fulfilled. Further note that Ke and Su navamsa is in Libra, which indicates eclipse of Moon (conjunction of Ke or Ra with Mo is considered as eclipse making Moon weak). Thus for sure it indicates madness. 6) Combination – 8 Me is placed in 12th from Lagna. Thus the combination is satisfied, and it indicates madness. 7) Combination – 8: Consider this combination from Moon Lagna (Libra) Me is placed in 8th house from Moon Lagna. Thus the combination is satisfied, and it indicates madness. 8) Combination –9 Ju is placed in 5th – being the significator of 5th and the significator of intelligence, any affliction to the same can have double impact, and cause madness. Note that Ju is aspected by a malefic Su. But more than this the point to be noted is that Ju is hemmed between two strong malifics Sa-Ma in 12th house from Libra, and the aspect of Sa in 2nd house from Libra. (Sa aspects Scorpio with its special aspect on 3rd). Further in the 3rd house from Libra also we can find only a malefic that is Ke. Note only that Ke and Su navamsa also falls in Libra, making the affliction strong. Thus in all, following the combinations for madness given in texts we could find at least 8 combinations in the horoscope that fulfills the condition of madness. This is more than enough to prove by " Dwi tri samvada bhaval " (If 2 or more combinations indicate the same, that result will actulize for sure) that madness will happen. Out of these the combinations that attracted my attention most are – • The placement of afflicted Mo-Ju hemmed between malifics in 5th (with the sign lord Ve gone to 6th from 5th house and its debilitated navamsa falling in 12th from 5th) • Sa-Ma in 4th from Lagna and 12th from Moon sign supporting many combinations. That is why I went for Ju Dasa Mo Antra, and Sa Dasa Ma Antra, which happened to be the probable period of action for these madness combinations, indicated by the natal chart. Thus the conclusion, no doubt, the native is a psychopath. Sexual Urge =========== When a person is mad his strongest inner urges become manifest, which in chart happen to be sexual urges as indicated by – • Exalted Ve • Ve aspected by Ma (Para yuvatu rata: Interested in other's women) • 7th lord Jupiter's navamsa falling in 7th itself. • Ve navamsa falling in the same sign as where Ma is placed (Para yuvatu rata: Interested in other's women) • From Moon Ve in 6th aspected by Mars (Interest in Prostitution) Thus the conclusion, this person surely committed those sexual crimes charged against him, in an insane manner, and is a psychopath. It is better not to mix up his life success in profession with this negative trend and weakness in his character. Professional Success ==================== This person is a professional success as indicated by- • 10th lord in 5th (Kendra-Trikona) • Exalted Ve in 10th • 10th lord's navamsa falling in its own house Sagittarius. • Significator of 10th Saturn and Mars aspecting 10th house • Significator of 10th Su exalted in 11th house And so on. Argala ====== Since we were discussing Argala let us have a look at this chart in that point of view as well. Note that 4th and 5th house have unobstructed Argala providing positive results for the native for his success, even though the same might have caused destruction to the world around him. • Ma –Sa in 4th cause Argala: Ve in 10th and Su in 11th (8th from 4th) obstruct this, but the obstruction is not strong enough (not obstructed by equal number of planets). • Ju-Mo in 5th cause Argala: In 9th no planet is present to obstruct this. In 12th (8th from 5th) Me is present, but the obstruction is not strong enough. Thus these combinations in 4th and 5th has really helped the native in attaining success. It is only the imprisonment indicated by Sa that devoid him of this complete success and put him in jail for long. If not, uncaught he would have enjoyed the privileges, causing destruction and loss to many. Also note that the Argala yoga in 10th house (indicating professional success) caused by Ve is completely obstructed by Sa-Ma in 4th. Thus his own madness and crimes will put an end to his own professional success, tells the horoscope.
