Guest guest
Dear all, I most humbly say that unless one is looking for spectacular predictions to impress any native, The rasi Chart, The Navamsha chart, the ashtakvarga (BAV and SAV). the statistical information a single sheet of paper, containing the degrees, Rasis and constellations, of the planets, should be reasonably very good enough, for a good astrologer, to make his predictions. Rasi Chart + navamsha Chart both are also good enough for many traditional astrologers to predict, who do not know much about texts , but know, the basic facts learnt by mouth, through inheritance - what can happen when, due to what. Unfortunately, the more technical one talks, I find most of the times (Generally) , is not able to predict at all. The taller the tree.the easier to fall. Same way, we need to ask ourselves what do we debate so much for ? To prove ourselves that we know better, and You know less, or to learn ? Our only motto on forum, should be contributing and learning from others contribution- Sharing. The more simples one talks, the more easier and interesting is the talk, and less does the Ego flutter. Hope this makes sense somewhere. Just gave my thoughts. No offence meant for anyone. In between I let loose my unintelligence so that the balance stays okay for me. You need very much intelligent brains to discuss about shlokas, amsas, the nuances connected with these, which luckily and happily i am not. regards, Bhaskar. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji There is another perspective. May be we end up analysing D10 / D24 / D60 more easily, with Shri Pradeep's method. regards / Prafulla , " Bhaskar " <bhaskar_jyotish wrote: > > Dear all, > > I most humbly say that unless one is looking for > spectacular predictions to impress any native, > The rasi Chart, > The Navamsha chart, the ashtakvarga (BAV and SAV). > the statistical information a single sheet of paper, > containing the degrees, Rasis and constellations, > of the planets, should be reasonably very good enough, > for a good astrologer, to make his predictions. > > Rasi Chart + navamsha Chart both are also > good enough for many traditional > astrologers to predict, who do not know much > about texts , but know, the basic facts learnt > by mouth, through inheritance - what can > happen when, due to what. > > Unfortunately, the more technical one talks, > I find most of the times (Generally) , is not able > to predict at all. Guest guest
Makes sense. Jyotishis really need to follow the KISS methodology -- Keep It Simple Stupid. I've always found that my best predictions were those that were reinforced from several different angles and based upon those simple and traditional concepts we take for granted. Also, those findings proven by traditional research (something which has got me sold on KN Rao) are also very beneficial. Also, perhaps this belongs on a separate thread, but why are so many jyotish books so poorly laid out and designed? I know a few people who I could get the books laid out by and designed who have good relationships with printers in Delhi. I would like to do this in the service of Sri KN Raoji and other jyotishis of whose works I find to be useful. Humbly, adas Bhaskar <bhaskar_jyotish wrote: Dear all, I most humbly say that unless one is looking for spectacular predictions to impress any native, The rasi Chart, The Navamsha chart, the ashtakvarga (BAV and SAV). the statistical information a single sheet of paper, containing the degrees, Rasis and constellations, of the planets, should be reasonably very good enough, for a good astrologer, to make his predictions.
