Dear Members,

Since " " VEDIC " " word is chanted,

i would like to ask tht this 12 house system is a part of Vedic

Astrology or a part of Greek Astrology.

I guess real Vedic system is 27 nakshatra.

even our dasha system is based on nakshatra..not on house.

I would like to have your opinion on the concerning topic , if you feel

this important.

Regards,

Tarun

Dear Tarun ji

In India there was guru / sishya parampara and unfortunately, many of

the methods in vedic astrology were imported from parsia / greece/

egypt - but mentioned as vedic methods. If you see sahams - they are

greek " LOTS " . I have translations of Greek ancient books and can

provide you references in some time.

Yes - many historians have proved that bhava based interpretation is

imported from Greek Asrology. In India - there are so many methods.

for example - If you read Deva Keralam or bhrigu nadi - they do not

reconcile with Parashari.

But there is nothing wrong in using and blending many of those methods

into jyotish, as it has always been evolving subject.

Just one more thought:

It might not be correct that some systems have been taken from Greeks. I

have atleast two well researched books with me, who suggest that Eastern

Europe to East coast of South China was Vedic land. They also have suggested

that Egyptian Pyramids were made by the descendants of Lord Rama - Love and

Kush. The names of the Pharaohs correspond with the same. Ramses in one of

its break up form means those from Rama. I am neither a linguist nor a

historian, but, did find all this fascinating to read. I do not know how

much of it is real and how much one's imagination.

They also propose that Greeks studied Astrology from the same culture and

passed it back to us, probably when parts of it were forgotten, destroyed

etc..

I just thought I should share this with you. I haven't read the whole book

yet but parts of it are true. We all know about Bali, Cambodia Angkor Wat,

and Singpura (currently Singapore) being Hindu.

Thanks and Regards

Bharat

Dear Bharat ji

many thanks for sharing the historical issue.

I just shared, what I read in articles from few historians. It is

quite possible that - Greek read that from vedic region, and at some

stage - we got them back.
