Guest guest Posted August 17, 2007 Report Share Posted August 17, 2007 Dear All Today is Atham(Hastham) marking the beginning of Onam the festival of kerala,remembering Mahabali the great King,who was sent to Pathala by Mahvishnu coming in the form of Vamana. For the info of non malayalee friends,10 days from now, on Thiruvonam (Shravanam)day, Onam is celebrated. Suns position in Simha or Chinga is another point to note during this harvest festival.
