Group for Jyotish Discussions only needed

Hello Members,

 

IS there any one group where querrant are not allowed to post. So tht

no one who is selling Rudraksha or gem stone will come there.

 

only discussions, only pure and 100% pure form of astrology.

 

no querrant, so no 24 hrs free astrology advices.

 

can a group be made like that ?????

Dear Tarun,

 

Yes it is possible. Infact, I am already a member of such a

forum. In this forum the membership is given to only those

people who are invited by the list owner. No other membership

requests are approved. Basically, the list owner decides who

should be invited to the list. And that person joins the list

only if interested. I am enjoying this group though there are

less than 50 members in the group.

Dear Krishnaji,

 

I know at least 7 Forums of astrology where this is done,

but all these Forums come with Price tags, in form of

strict moderation, mails coming on board,very late,

less members who may be active etc.etc.

 

I have had this in my mind since last 1 year to open

such forum,then decided not to, because one needs time

for continuous devotion to these.

Dear Krishnaji,

 

My experience with one such Forum-

They allowed a posting of one member who

had written a book, and priced at Rs.500-

I purchased that book, and hat did I get?

A xeroxed copy of around 50 A4 sheets done

in spiral binding and presented to me as

a book, for which advance had been taken

from me, without me being showed the book

before. I would not have minded, had

those 50 sheets contained some good

astrological content,but there was none,

but only a compendium of confusing technical

rules with no illustrations to understand

the same. When I wrote back to the Forum

Owner, about this, he did not allow my posting

there, with regards to the book, so that other

members could not be duped had he allowed my

posting. That Forum is considered to be a very

advanced Forum on Astrology and all members

are screened. with their addresses and phone

numbers also recorded,but these are the games

being played on such Forums. I am still a

member there, but I dont write on any Forum,

where the owner is not good person or unbiased.

 

I explained the owner my inability to contribute

to the forum, because of his biased stance,and

he too expressed his inability, thats all.

 

Of course the above does not stand for every

such Forum.

Dear Bhaskar,

 

In the forum I am in, I don't see any such negatives so far.

Mails are not moderated by the moderator. It is sufficient if

all members feel the responisibility to keep away from filth and

moderate themselves. I hope that the day doesn't come when the

moderator needs to act in that list.

This list was pretty static until the Navamsa debate and although

there have been heated disagreements, let us not overlook the depth

of Jyotish that has been discussed here. This list has, over the past

few months, consisted of the most stimulating and worthwhile

discussions compared to other lists.

 

Forming another list is not plausable : perhaps certain members can

cultivate tolerance and we all have a colelctive responsibility to

discuss Jyotish is a mature, responsible and respectable manner.

However I do feel that when foul abusive langauge is persistently

used, the abusers should be warned and then banned for a few months.

 

Returning to the D-charts issue, can we discuss/prove/disprove the

use of houses in d-charts using a few case studies?

Can u share the name of that forum where i can request the owner to

invite me to be a part of that group.

 

Such forums help in learning from archives too. with the older

discussions happened in the forum.

Even whenever time allows i try to explore the older mails of shri KN

Rao and other senior members so that i can get some hidden things

from their mails.

Dear Tarunji,

 

You are already the member of one such group.

KP astrology. I think I saw you there yesterday,

though I have stopped writing there. I just

like to remain a silent member there.

Jyotish Vidya too is a good group where moderation

is done on the abusive members, and one cannot just

talk nonsense on astrology, nor make silly

predictions without supporting logical analysis.

I can give you names of 5 more Forums like these,

but you may not get time to be active in all.

I agree with every word of this most positive

mail in last 2 days on this Forum. The Jyotish

which has been discussed here since last 6

months has not been discussed anywhere else.

The other points of the mail,I shall not comment

on, but I second them.

yes i am member of KP astrology forum and Jyotish Vidya too.

 

Time for being active on all forum is definately not possible. As

other works are also to be done for livelihood
