Dear Friends,

The question & observations that arise are

a) Did P.S.Sastri who was a known Sanskrit scholar correctly

interpret Siddhanta Siromani

b) Bhaskara quotes Sage Vasistha & he precedes Parasara if I

understand it well.

c) Siddhanta Siromani as quoted by Sastri clearly states that this

needs to be used for marriages, pilgrimages , travel etc, it does not

talk of other areas then does it mean that it conforms to our normal

practice of how we use the nak zodiac, it appears so thereby it does

not disturb our original approach one might add.

d) If the planets can have different diameters & lengths, could the

constellations not be of different length.

e) First let us agree if constellations have different lengths, then

the question of how to use it in phalit jyotish, here I notice most do

not know if such a thing is possible or if someone has written about it

& the usual Talibanism of Indian Jyotishis creep in. Sastri can be wrong

or right is not the criteria but the toughest part is the fundamentalist

approach in our minds, this problem is more mental which even I have to

fight within myself to develop Yin Yang mentality in Jyotish.

My question was not to make someone agree or not but if the person who

posted the query in the first place if he has done some deeper probing

or not so that i could learn from his experience.

Regards
