Dear Mr. Suresh,

About your questions of Lal Kitab, others will write.

Urdu’s birth, to the best of my

knowledge, is credited to Amir Khusro,

friend and companion of Hazrat Nizamuddin.

I am not aware of any such book that you mention " Keda Sasthra " ,

which is credited to be the source of Urdu.

Bye

Namasthe

May be my question was miunderstood. I was not

enquiring about the birth of Urudu. An " Keda Sasthra "

is not on Urudu but on Astrology written in a mixed

form of Urudu and Hindi. May be Urudu itself is a

mixed form. I do not Know. But the book is on

Astrology. It is amall book and translation is given

in Malayalam Language. I was asking for the history of

Lal Kitab.

My interest is due to

(1) Christians generally do not advocate seeking

astrological advice at least in India. Most of the

Clergy Bar their members from doing so. Its is taboo

if a member of christain family visits an astrologer.

They do not have any books writen on the subject which

they can call of their own.

(2) Islam (May be clergy) also look upon astrology

like christians. But they have books like Lal Kitab ,

Keda Sastra written in Urudu. why the conflict in

attitude. If islam debars astrology why were these

books written. Islam is much more powerfull in

enforcing the religious thoughts and way of life.

Another Interesting think is if Lal Kitab is a by

product of Islamic way of life, how come the remedies

contain the Hindu dieties ? . These are confusing

factors. I am just curious.

Please understand that I am not comdemning any body or

Urudu or Lal Kitab. I trying to understand it better.

One again Thank You for your mail.
