Bhuh, bhuvah, Suvah, Maha, janah, tapah and the lower Atala, Vitala,sutala, mahatala, taraatala,paataala. It stuck me as curious that these could be just six interspersed universes interspersed in gross physical universe, and the said upper and lower lokas being oppositely polarised spectrum of each universe. Like our own infra red to ultra violet spectrum of gross universe, figuratively speaking. This concept is dealt with in Kabbalism also, if i am not wrong , as the tree of life Sephirot.
