Jai Shri Krishna! I am starting my second cycle of Yogini Dasha from

yesterday 5/19/07. I do not know what the significant of Yogini Dasha

is and what can I expect in this new second cycle. would appreciate

any information anyone can provide.

dear friend

thare are 42 kinds of dasa systems for calculating the planetary

periods out of which vimshottari, ashtottari and yogini are more

popular.

like ashtottari, yogini too has no ketu's dasa and the eight planets

have eight yogini dasas. without much elaboration, the 1st, 3rd, 5th

and 7th dasas are considered to give good results and the 2nd, 4th, 6th

and 8th dasas are considered to give bad results, i.e. odd for good and

even for bad.

it is pertinent to note that the olden days astrologers used to follow

ashtottari dasa for the natives born in shukla paksha and follow

vimshottari dasa for the natives born in krishna paksha. but most

astrologers these days are following only vimshottari dasa for all

natives born in both shukla and krishna pakshas.

as per the second yoigini dasa i.e. pingala which lasts for two years,

you may expect tensions and worries. but since i personally do not

follow yogini, i cannot elaborate further.

with best wishes and blessings
