Guru Gendarzji,

 

Suriya veedhi / zodiaic / Rasi charka are one and the same. They divided into

TWELVE equal segments called Meesha, Rishabha………….Meena rasis.

How to prove the above theory? Any uppaayaa to prove the above fully or partly

would be much appreciated (new born horn challenges me).

Dear Karunakaram,

 

Basics are in Parasara..the bhu-chakra (zodiac is bad name..as no every

sign represents animal) is based on Nakshatra's (chitra paksa ayanamsa),

this divided on 12 parts (moon and surya meets 12 times in year giving

dwadasa adityas) gives space for rasi and consequently bhava. Point on

the horizon must set the first house called Lagna, Udaya.

 

That was the question, or?

Is the bhu-chakra based on Nakshatra's, divided into 12 EQUAL parts of Rasis?

Dear Karunakaram,

 

I advise You latest Sanjayji lecture about third chapter of BPHS. There

You can read about Nakshatras which are mentioned before listening the

Rasis. We have the starting point - Chitra Star and we divide the cirlce

on 12 Rasis - this is the basis of fixed zodiac. Then we draw equal

Rasis and they give nature to the bhavas.
