lagna....does mars looses its yogakaka influece...(13deg 46min mars in 3rd pada

blemished. Lagna Lord Moon's aspect on him from the 2nd house

neutralizes the situation to some extent. From the Moon, Mars again

becomes Yogakarka and placed in a Kendra improves the situation.

To understand the effect of Mars antardasa in Moon dasa one needs to

consider Mars position in relation to Moon...

First: Mars, normaly neutral to Moon, has, according to Parashara's

temporary friendship scheme, become an enemy due to placement in 7th from

Moon.

Second: According to Parashara, the lord of the 7th (marakasthana), malefics

in the 7th, and malefics accompanying the 7th lord are all known as Marakas.

 

It should not be surprising then that the death of mother occurred during

Mars antar in dasa of Moon. We should also be able to understand that Mars

antar, inimically placed in 8th from Lagna and inimical to Lagna lord, can

bring difficulties to the native himself during its antar in dasa of Lagnesh

Moon.

 

We know that the ability of (any) YogaKaraka to bestow truly auspicious

results is dependant on its overall strength and its relationship with other

planets.

 

During Mars own dasa we need to look more towards Moon's disposition towards

Mars himself (rather than Mars disposition towards dasa lord Moon) which in

this instance is neutral/indifferent...not good, not bad.

To predict the outcome of Mars mahadasa we need to look at his relationship

with the other planets. For instance, Sun and Jupiter are natural friends as

well as temporary friends which makes them great friends (of Mars)...

 

....in this way we can assess the likely results of the upcoming Mars dasa

(from where Mars is likely to receive help & support to fulfil his

obligations and from where there might be obstructions to his progress.)

I do not know how much knowledge you possess in astrology. I am sure

you may aware of the basics since you are writing the death of your

mother according to the dashas and thinking of ensuing Mars dasha.

Your mother's death is very well within the rules of Parashara

(Moon/Mars).

 

In the D-1, Mars is in 7th from the Moon the karaka for mother.

Hence he becomes maraca for your mother. You can see this from

Navamsha also. From Moon, Mars rules 7th and 12th houses. Mars

aspects from the 3rd (12th from 4th) the Moon in 6th house. One can

glean everything from the Dwadasamsa chart regarding the parents. In

that chart, from the Karaka Moon the mother Mars is the 2nd and 7th

Lord and from the 6th house he influences the Moon. The death is

very clearly justified.

 

One should clearly understand the fact that every planet has to

perform a number of assigned duties in a chart, towards different

persons related to the native, differently. Yogakarka status of

Mars, the name, fame and property is in relation to you. In relation

to your mother he has to perform some other functions.

Dear Manpreet,

I completely agree with what swamy says. Let me add my bit, too. A

Yogakaraka planet is NOT A LICENSE TO ALL HAPPINESS. The YK planet

also has its aspects, nature, angles with other planets to produce

even bad results. I have seen umpteen number of cases to justify this.

Your experiences with such a Mars is well within Parashara's rules.

Particularly so with Mars conjunct Mercury in sign of Cancer (dwadasamsa).

Mercury owns (natal) 3rd which shows 'parents death'...
