Guest guest
Dear Balaji, ///Thanks, but no thanks! :-) I feel a lot more comfortable sticking to Parasara! :-)/// As per my understanding, Varshaphal, meaning 'fruits of the year', is used extensively in Northern India. I recall back in '95 two esteemed Maharishi Jyotish Pundits were here from India specifically to give consultations for meditators. I decided to have a consultation for Yagya and Jyotish Gem recommendations. Those recommendations included a yagya to be performed on my birthday (for overall progress). It was recommended that this be done each year. It is said that the exact time of one's Varshaphal is a sacred annual event for each individual. It is at that moment only that the Earth/Sun relationship is exactly the same as when we were born. Such a moment constitutes an " event " , and as with all significant events, this too is the basis for a horoscope of importance. We recognise the value of drawing a chart for the time of marriage, for starting a new business, or any other major event in life...why would varshaphal be considered any differently? There are many opinions floating about...some of which declare varshaphal to be borrowed from the Arabic system etc.? I prefer to think of it as simply another 'event' chart.. What I do know for certain is that this chart, highlighting one specific year only, does not, in any way, conflict with, or supercede, the Janma Kundali...nor the vimsottari dasa system. However, I'll leave this for now and perhaps we can talk about it another time :-) Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com jyotish-vidya ___ - " Balaji Narasimhan " <sherlockbalaji <jyotish-vidya > Thursday, May 03, 2007 6:23 PM Fatima's Secret and NBRY Wendy ji, ///Although the Second Vatican Council brought about many fundamental changes, I don't see that it warrants a new horoscope./// Exactly what I thought! That's why I felt that it was best to seek your advice before casting a chart based on this data! ///It might be worth taking a look at your annual chart (birthday chart or varshaphal) to see how this year might progress. Your year lord Jupiter is well placed in 9th and munthesh Mars is exalted in 11th./// Thanks, but no thanks! :-) I feel a lot more comfortable sticking to Parasara! :-) End of the day, since Bukti Natha Guru is Neecha, his period is not good. Let me wait for Sani's Bukti, which starts in October 2007. ~~~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan Author & Editor http://www.balaji.ind.in/ ~~~~~~~~~
