The Beijing Olympics: Some thoughts on China's possible problems

Dear Balaji,

 

Again, I'm finding it difficult to add my comments as I cannot cut/paste the

sections I wish to comment on. Moving back and forward between email and

article is off-putting and time consuming...often losing my train of thought,

it's difficult to maintain focus. Anyway, let's look at the (below) section:

According to my calculations the operating dasa (13 Jul 2001) was

SA-SA-ME-RA...

 

SATURN, aspected by RAHU'S dispositor (Jupiter), is aspecting his star lord

(10th lord Venus) in 10th whilst his dispositor (Sun) combusts P/D lord MERCURY

in 9th.

 

In transit, SATURN and Venus were conjunct in 5th...this house, as we know,

governs pleasures/enjoyments such as sport and recreation.

 

But what China needed to win over the other competitors was the strength of 6th

house; and here we see pratyantar and sookshmantar lords (ME/RA) transiting 6th

house along with RAHU'S dispositor (Jupiter) and SATURN'S dispositor (Sun).

 

BTW Mercury exaltation is from 00:00-15:00 Virgo; Moolatrikona is from

15:00-20:00 Virgo, and Own Sign is from 20:00-30:00 Virgo.

 

In China's chart Mercury is in Own Sign.

significations, unfortunately. You're correct that the 3rd house signifies

ability in sports etc..

In the words of David Frawley (Astrology of the Seers);

" The third house shows our motivation and indicates our main interests, whether

physical or mental - what we really like to do. It shows whims and interests,

sports and hobbies etc.. "

 

On 5th he says;

" It is thereby a house of pleasure, enjoyment, sport and recreation, and shows

what we really love to do...etc.. "

recreation/sport...

 

Enjoyment of sports (recreational) and ability in sports are not the same.

There are millions of avid sports fans who, although lacking the

ability/prowess to excel in sports themselves, get tremendous enjoyment from

following their favourite team, tennis player etc..

PPS: Remember, to succeed in sports one needs the ambition, self-motivation,

courage/boldness in action etc...signified by 3rd.

Let's focus on the positive side if we can :-)

The dasa at commencement of Olympics will be SA-VE-MA-JU and fortunately

Mars will then have moved out of his sign of debilitation and away from

Ketu.

Of the planets transiting lagna lord in 8th (at that time) VE & SA are in

neutral sign whilst ME & MA will be in sign of Grt.Fr.. Sun will join Ketu

in Cancer and he too will be in sign of Grt.Fr.

 

Transit Jupiter aspects from his moolatrikona sign in 12th indicating

foreigners...people from far-off places aspecting dasa/bhukti/pratyantar

lords in 8th...

 

8th remember, is 11th from 10th...indicating income, gains, auspicious

events etc, etc..

Ok. So, 3rd shows ability to *play* sports, and 5th

shows ability to *enjoy* sports. Got that! :-)

 

Of course, you know what Shaw said of cricket--if I

may modify what he said, 12 people, desperately in

need of rest play, while 12 million people,

desperately in need of exercixe, lean back and watch

it on TV! :-)

competitive power (ability to rise above competitors), challenges, tests,

This too is positive--but one factor is that he will

be with Sani. Of course, for Makara Lagna, Kuja isn't

all that bad because moolatrikona falls in the 4th,

and a malefic kendra lord is good--still, Kuja also

owns a trishadya.

 

Still, let us see! I hope everything works out for the

best! :-)
